Los Angeles Knight Riders star Sunil Narine achieved a mammoth feat with his two-wicket haul in the Major League Cricket match between LAKR and Seattle Orcas. Narine's two wickets helped him move up an elite list featuring names such as Dwayne Bravo, Imran Tahir, and Afghanistan spin legend Rashid Khan.
Known for his mystery spin and ability to control tight overs in pressure situations, Narine once again emerged as one of LAKR's most effective bowlers in their MLC clash in Dallas.
Sunil Narine scalped two wickets while bowling his full quota of four overs and conceding only 18 runs, further justifying his legendary status in T20 cricket.
Sunil Narine Carries Strong IPL 2026 Form Into MLC
Narine came into MLC 2026 on the back of a successful IPL 2026 campaign, where he picked up 15 wickets from 13 innings. Although his team, Kolkata Knight Riders, failed to qualify for the playoffs, he was among the franchise's leading wicket-takers and maintained an impressive economy rate of 6.65.
With the bat, however, the Caribbean all-rounder could not make a significant impact, scoring just 40 runs from four innings. Nevertheless, the IPL season, which concluded on May 31, helped Narine build momentum heading into MLC 2026.
He has consistently picked up two wickets in both matches against the Seattle Orcas and the San Francisco Unicorns.
His consistency with the ball and the inability of batters to read him have further enhanced his reputation, helping him etch his name into the record books alongside some of the greatest bowlers in T20 history.

Narine Overtakes Dwayne Bravo In Elite T20 List
Sunil Narine now ranks second on the list of bowlers with the most wickets in T20 cricket. Rashid Khan remains at the top with 723 wickets, while Narine's two wickets against the Seattle Orcas helped him surpass Dwayne Bravo and move to 632 wickets overall.

Meanwhile, Imran Tahir sits fifth on the list with 572 wickets in T20 cricket. Interestingly, apart from Bravo, every bowler in the top five is a spinner.
Narine, who trails Rashid Khan by more than 100 wickets, continues to strengthen his legacy as one of the format's greatest wicket-takers.
LAKR Register Dominant 81-Run Victory
While Narine starred with the ball, the match also went comfortably in Los Angeles Knight Riders' favour. Batting first, LAKR posted 196 runs on the board, with Andre Fletcher emerging as the highest run-scorer at a strike rate of 148.15.
Rovman Powell provided late fireworks with a blistering 37 off just 11 balls, helping LAKR set a daunting target of 197.
Seattle Orcas Collapse Under Pressure
In response, the Seattle Orcas never looked in contention and were bundled out for just 115 runs. Their top and middle order faltered miserably as LAKR's bowlers dominated proceedings throughout the innings.
Shadley van Schalkwyk and Andre Russell picked up three wickets each, while Sunil Narine and Carmi le Roux chipped in with two wickets apiece. The Orcas were bowled out in just 15.3 overs, handing Los Angeles Knight Riders a comprehensive 81-run victory.
