Team India went down to South Africa Women by six wickets in match number 18 of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Defending 159 runs for a win, Indian bowlers failed to contain legendary South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp in Manchester on Sunday, June 21.
In the course of her run-chase masterclass, Kapp reaped the benefits of India’s repeated fielding blunders, particularly from Radha Yadav.
With India losing a must-win match, their road to the T20 World Cup semifinals has become significantly tougher, considering they will now face Australia and Bangladesh in their remaining fixtures.
As one can expect, India’s defeat sparked a wave of reactions from fans on social media. While several fans hailed Marizanne Kapp’s all-round spectacle, some even targeted Radha Yadav for the team’s lacklustre performance on the day.
