Harmanpreet Kaur completes 200 T20I matches
Harmanpreet Kaur led the India Women’s team in their third Group 1 match of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Taking on South Africa in Manchester, the match also marked the 200th appearance of Harmanpreet in T20I cricket.
In the process, the legendary Indian skipper became the first cricketer in history (men or women) to scale the landmark figure. She scored 24 off 22 balls in the game before getting knocked over by Shabnim Ismail.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi blows away Sri Lanka A in tri-series final
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi blew away Sri Lanka A bowlers with a scorching 94 from just 29 balls in the final of the ‘A team’ tri-series in Dambulla. The youngster notched up his fifty off just 11 deliveries to record the fastest half-century in the history of ‘A’ cricket.

His innings helped India A mount 377-9 from 50 overs, before bowlers dusted out Sri Lanka A for just 311 to clinch the tri-series trophy.
Matt Henry levels New Zealand’s away series with England
New Zealand steamrolled England by 253 runs on Day 5 of the Oval Test to level the three-match series with a game to spare. Chasing 463 and resuming the day at 182-5, the hosts folded up for 209 in 58.1 overs.
New Zealand paceman Matt Henry bagged each of the five remaining wickets of the English innings on the day to claim figures of 6-29. He also won the ‘Player of the Match’ award for taking 11 wickets in the match.
Kieron Pollard becomes leading T20 run-maker
Former West Indies cricketer Kieron Pollard bludgeoned 100* off just 56 balls against Washington Freedom in match five of the MLC 2026 season. Through the course of his innings, the legendary all-rounder became the leading run-maker in the history of T20 cricket, surpassing former national teammate Chris Gayle’s tally of 14,562 runs.
Pollard is currently sitting on a pile of 14,582 runs from 653 innings at an average of 31.83.
Kohli not cleared, BCCI names India squad for England ODIs
The BCCI has named a strong 15-member India squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series in England. Shubman Gill will continue to lead the side, and he will be accompanied by legendary batters like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. However, Kohli’s availability for the series is still subject to clearance.
In another development, Varun Chakaravarthy has been withdrawn from India's squad for the Ireland T20I series.
