Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced an unmatchable feat in the India A versus Sri Lanka A Tri-Series final. The 15-year-old smashed an 11-ball fifty, which is now the record for the fastest half-century in ODI or List A cricket.

Sooryavanshi's heroics not only helped him achieve the massive feat but also shattered Sri Lanka A's confidence as he continued firing from the very beginning alongside opener Priyansh Arya.

The young batter looked unstoppable throughout his stay at the crease. His fearless approach against the Sri Lankan bowlers ensured that India A raced ahead at a staggering run rate, putting immense pressure on the opposition right from the start of the innings.

Sri Lanka A Sledging Incident Gets a Perfect Reply

Interestingly, just a few days earlier, Sooryavanshi had been involved in a heated exchange with a Sri Lankan player. During that encounter, Vishen Halambage was heard taunting the youngster by saying, "Match is over, now you go home, small kid."

The remark was seemingly taken personally by the Rajasthan Royals youngster, who reacted angrily on the field. Nevertheless, Sooryavanshi appears to have delivered the perfect response through his bat.

The teenage sensation smashed a breathtaking 94 off just 29 balls before missing out on what could have been a historic century at Dambulla. His innings was packed with boundaries and towering sixes, leaving the Sri Lankan bowlers with absolutely no answers.

Rajasthan Royals Troll Sri Lanka A On Social Media

As Sooryavanshi's mammoth innings grabbed headlines across the cricketing world, Rajasthan Royals, the IPL franchise that owns the youngster, joined in the celebrations with a cheeky social media post.

Taking to their official Instagram handle at around 11 AM IST, Rajasthan Royals posted a video featuring Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. In the clip, he could be heard saying, "Chhota Bachcha Samajh Ke Na Koi Aankh Dikhana Re."

The franchise accompanied the video with the caption: "Gentle reminder: 29-ball 94 against Sri Lanka A. 8 sixes and 10 boundaries."

The post immediately went viral on social media, with netizens showering praise on Sooryavanshi. Fans hailed the youngster's confidence, maturity, and ability to dominate international opposition despite being only 15 years old.

Opening Partnership Breaks Sri Lanka A's Spirit

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's destruction helped India A move up the ladder very quickly during the run chase. The team breached the 200-run mark inside 30 overs, thanks largely to the incredible start provided by the opening pair.

While Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed in the ninth over, Priyansh Arya departed in the 10th over. However, by then the damage had already been done. The opening duo had added a staggering 132 runs in just 63 deliveries, completely taking the game away from Sri Lanka A.

The Sri Lankan players appeared heartbroken as they were punished thoroughly throughout the opening phase of the innings. Their bowlers struggled for control and failed to find a way to contain the aggressive Indian batters.

India A in Complete Control

At the time of writing, captain Tilak Varma was leading the charge and nearing his half-century alongside wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra. Meanwhile, Ruturaj Gaikwad managed 40 runs before being dismissed by Mohamed Shiraz in the 28th over.

India A appeared to be in complete control of the Tri-Series final, with the Sri Lanka A bowlers still trying to figure out a way to dominate the visitors at Dambulla.
