I. Who We Are

Crex is a global sports media platform operated by Parthtech LLP, dedicated to delivering cricket and sports content to fans around the world. We publish live scores, match reports, analysis, statistics, opinion, fantasy insights, and multimedia content across our website and mobile applications.

We believe that sports fans deserve accurate, fair, and transparent content — and that trust between a media platform and its audience is earned through consistent editorial standards, not just good intentions. This Editorial Policy is our public commitment to you.

Our MissionTo inform, engage, and serve the global sports fan community through credible, timely, and accurate content.
Who We AreCrex is owned and operated by Parthtech LLP. We are an independent digital sports media platform. We have no ownership interest in any cricket board, league, federation, or team we cover.
Contact UsFor editorial questions or concerns, write to us at support@crex.com. For copyright complaints, see Section 10 of this policy.

II. Our Editorial Principles

Every piece of content we publish — whether a live scorecard, a match report, or a columnist's opinion — is governed by the same core principles. These are not aspirational values; they are the standards we hold ourselves to every day.

Accuracy We verify facts before we publish them. If we get something wrong, we correct it openly and promptly. Our goal is always to be right, even if that sometimes means being second.
Fairness Crex is owned We cover sport without taking sides. Teams, players, administrators, and events are covered on their merits. Where we publish criticism, it is grounded in facts.
IndependenceOur editorial decisions are made by our editorial team — not by advertisers, sponsors, or commercial partners. No company can pay to change how we cover a story.
TransparencyWe tell you who wrote our content, when it was published, what sources we relied on, and how we corrected errors when they occurred.
ClarityWe write for our readers. Headlines must reflect what the article actually says. We do not use misleading framing, clickbait, or sensational language.
Respect We cover sport with respect for players, officials, fans, and communities. We do not publish content that discriminates, demeans, or stereotypes.

III. Who Creates Our Content

We believe you have the right to know who is writing the content you read. Here is how our editorial team is structured and how we ensure accountability for what we publish.

A. Our Editorial Team

Crex content is produced by a team of sports journalists, data analysts, and subject-matter specialists with experience in cricket and global sport. Our editorial operations are led by an Managing Editor who holds overall responsibility for the standards and integrity of all content published on the platform.

  • News articles and match reports are written by staff journalists and credited contributors.
  • Analysis and opinion pieces carry a named byline and are clearly labelled so you always know you are reading someone's informed perspective, not a statement of fact.
  • Data-driven content — including statistics, rankings, and visualisations — is produced or reviewed by our data team and sourced from verified, licensed data providers.
  • Short-form video scripts, voiceovers, and app content are reviewed by an editor before publication.

B. Contributors and Freelancers

We also work with external contributors, columnists, and freelance journalists. All contributors are expected to meet the same editorial standards as our staff team. Contributed content is reviewed by an editor before publication and carries the contributor's name.

C. Transparency of Authorship

Crex is committed to transparent authorship. All articles published on our platform carry a byline identifying the author or the Crex editorial desk. Opinion and analysis pieces are always attributed to a named author. We do not publish anonymous editorial content.

IV. How We Verify Our Content

You should be able to trust what you read on Crex. Here is how we check our facts before content reaches you.

A. Our Verification Standards

  • Every factual claim in our content must be verifiable and must be cross-referenced against a credible source before publication.
  • Match statistics and scores are sourced from official, licensed data feeds. Our data team reviews significant discrepancies before they reach readers.
  • Player quotes and official statements are attributed to their original source. We do not paraphrase quotes without making clear that we have done so.
  • Where a story is developing and full verification is pending, we clearly label it as a 'Developing Story' or 'Unconfirmed Report' so you know exactly where the information stands.

B. Our Source Hierarchy

Not all sources are equal. We apply the following hierarchy when verifying information:

Source TierExamples
Official / Primary Governing body statements, official team communications, verified player or board social media accounts
Established Wire Services Reuters, Associated Press, PTI, ESPNcricinfo, BBC Sport
Named On-Record SourcesCoaches, officials, or players speaking directly to Crex journalists, on the record
Multiple Corroborated ReportsThree or more independent credible outlets reporting the same information independently

C. How We Distinguish Facts, Analysis, and Opinion

Not everything you read on Crex is a statement of fact — and we want to be upfront about that. Here is how we label different types of content:

Content LabelWhat It Means for You
NEWS / MATCH REPORT Factual, event-based content grounded in verified information from credible sources.
ANALYSIS Contextual interpretation of facts by our journalists or data team. Draws on evidence, but reflects editorial judgment.
OPINION / COLUMNThe expressed view of a named author. Does not represent Crex's position. May draw subjective conclusions from facts.
DEVELOPING / UNCONFIRMEDA story that is actively developing. We are working to verify details — we tell you what we know and what we don't.
SPONSORED CONTENTPaid content produced in partnership with an advertiser. Clearly labelled and visually distinct from our editorial content.

V. Live Scores & Real-Time Content

Live cricket and sports coverage is at the heart of what Crex does. We want you to understand how it works and what to expect.

A. How Our Live Data Works

  • Our live scores and ball-by-ball data are powered by licensed feeds from official, authorised data providers. These feeds are updated in real time as events occur on the field.
  • Our editorial team monitors live coverage actively. Where a data feed discrepancy is detected, our team investigates and corrects the relevant data as quickly as possible.
  • During major matches, a dedicated duty editor oversees live coverage and is responsible for approving any breaking updates before they are published.

Please Note: Live sports data is inherently time-sensitive. Scores, statistics, and updates may occasionally reflect a brief delay from official feeds or a temporary discrepancy that is corrected as play progresses. We make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, but brief, technical data delays are a known feature of live sports coverage across all platforms.

B. Breaking News During Live Events

  • Significant events during a match — such as player injuries, DRS decisions, or disciplinary matters — are reported as they happen, but our first priority is accuracy.
  • We will always tell you what is confirmed and what is still being verified. We do not report unconfirmed developments as fact during live coverage.
  • All push notification alerts relating to live events must be approved by the duty editor before they are sent.

VI. How We Handle Mistakes

We aim to be accurate in everything we publish. When we make a mistake — and occasionally we will — we correct it openly, promptly, and without attempting to hide what went wrong.

A. Our Corrections Commitment

When an error is identified, we commit to:
  • Correcting the article as quickly as possible — within 15 minutes for live content errors
  • Adding a clearly visible correction note to the article, describing what was wrong and what the accurate information is
  • Timestamping every correction so you can see exactly when it was made
  • Never deleting an error silently — the correction must always be visible to readers
  • Issuing a follow-up correction on the same channel (push notification or social media) if the original error was distributed that way

Correction Format: CORRECTION [DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM IST]: An earlier version of this article stated [what was incorrect]. This has been updated to reflect [accurate information]. We regret the error.

B. Retractions

In rare cases where an article contains errors so significant that a correction is insufficient, we will retract the piece entirely. A retraction notice will be published in place of the original article, explaining why the content was withdrawn. Retractions are approved by our Managing Editor.

C. Story Updates

When a developing story changes — for example, when initial information is superseded by official confirmation — we update the article and note the update clearly with an 'Updated [date/time]' label at the top of the piece.

VII. Opinion, Analysis & Predictions

Crex publishes both factual reporting and opinion-led content. We want you to always be able to tell the difference.

A. Opinion and Analysis

  • AOpinion pieces and columns represent the personal views of the named author. They do not represent the editorial position of Crex or Parthtech LLP.
  • All opinion content carries a named byline and a clear label — OPINION or COLUMN — at the top of the piece.
  • Opinion pieces must still be grounded in accurate facts. Our editors review all opinion content for factual accuracy before publication, even where the conclusions are subjective.
  • Criticism of teams, players, or administrators in opinion pieces must be fair, proportionate, and grounded in what can be evidenced.

B. Predictions and Forecasts

  • Predictions — including match outcome forecasts, player performance projections, and fantasy recommendations — are clearly labelled as speculative.
  • No prediction published on Crex should be interpreted as a guarantee of outcome.
  • Predictive content is intended for the purpose of analysis and engagement. It does not constitute financial, investment, or betting advice.
  • Crex does not endorse or encourage gambling.

7.3 Fantasy Sports Content

Fantasy tab insights, recommendations, and team-building tools on Crex are informational in nature. They are designed to help you make your own decisions. They do not guarantee player performance, match outcomes, or any financial return. Crex fantasy content is not financial advice.

VIII. Data, Statistics & Third-Party Sources

Sports data is central to what Crex does. Here is how we source it, how we use it, and what you should know about its limitations.

A. Where Our Data Comes From

  • Live scores, player statistics, and match records are sourced from licensed third-party data providers and official governing body feeds.
  • We use automated data feeds for live content. Our editorial team monitors for discrepancies and corrects them when identified.
  • Historical statistics and records are cross-referenced against recognised authoritative sources before publication.

B. Data Accuracy

Data DisclaimerWhile we make every reasonable effort to ensure data accuracy, live and automated data is subject to the quality of upstream feeds. Crex accepts no liability for temporary inaccuracies arising from third-party feed delays or technical disruptions. We correct confirmed errors as quickly as possible upon identification.

C. Visualisations and Graphs

  • All graphs, infographics, and data visualisations published on Crex accurately represent the underlying data. We do not distort scale, omit material context, or frame data in a misleading way.
  • The source of the data behind a visualisation is credited within or adjacent to the visual.

D. Third-Party Content and Attribution

  • Any statistics, quotes, or data sourced from third parties are attributed to their origin. We do not present third-party findings as our own.
  • Crex respects the intellectual property rights of leagues, federations, data providers, and all other rights holders. Our data is used within the terms of applicable licences.
  • Crex is not officially affiliated with any cricket board, league, or governing body unless such an affiliation is expressly stated on our platform.

IX. Advertising & Sponsored Content

Crex is supported in part by advertising and commercial partnerships. We want to be completely transparent about how advertising works on our platform and what it means for the content you read.

A. Editorial and Commercial Are Kept Separate

Advertisers and commercial partners do not influence what we cover, how we cover it, or the conclusions we reach. Editorial decisions are made by our editorial team alone. No one outside the editorial team has the authority to direct or change our content.

B. How We Label Commercial Content

You will always be able to identify commercial content because we label it clearly:
  • Sponsored Articles and Videos are labelled 'Sponsored Content' or 'Paid Partnership'
  • Native advertising and brand integrations are disclosed at the point they appear
  • Advertorials are visually and editorially distinct from our editorial content — they carry a visible label and are styled differently
  • Sponsored content is never styled to look like a Crex news article or match report

C. Gifts and Hospitality

Our editorial team members does not accept gifts, payments, or hospitality from teams, players, clubs, governing bodies, or commercial partners that could influence their coverage. Any approach of this kind must be declared to our Managing Editor.
