Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shatter huge T20 record
Rajasthan Royals opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi belted 36 runs off 16 balls with three boundaries and three sixes against the Gujarat Titans in match 52 of the IPL 2026 season in Jaipur. Through the course of his fiery top-order cameo, the 15-year-old completed 100 sixes in his T20 career.

In doing so, Sooryavanshi became the fastest cricketer in T20 history in terms of number of balls faced, reaching 100 sixes in just 514 balls.
Fatima Sana to lead PAK Women in T20Is vs ZIM
The PCB has unveiled a 15-player Pakistan Women squad for the upcoming three-match home T20I series against Zimbabwe Women. Fatima Sana will continue to lead her national side, and will be accompanied by fellow star performers like Muneeba Ali, Sadia Iqbal and others.
The three matches will be hosted by the National Stadium in Karachi between May 12 and May 15.
Imam-Ul-Haq gives Babar Azam injury update
Pakistan spinner Imam-ul-Haq has given a massive update regarding the injury and recovery process of legendary batter Babar Azam. With Babar getting ruled out of the Pakistan XI for the first Test against Bangladesh in Mirpur, Imam said that the senior batter is “looking fine” to him and the doctors will be expected to announce an encouraging update soon.
Prior to the match, the former Pakistan captain suffered an injury on his left knee and is currently monitored by the PCB medical team.
Sanju Samson frontrunner to lead India in T20I: Report
Sanju Samson has emerged as one of the frontrunners to lead Team India in T20I cricket going ahead, as reported by Jagran news journalist Abhishek Tripathi. The blistering wicketkeeper-batter is currently in a three-way fight for national captaincy with current skipper Suryakumar Yadav and charismatic middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer.
Samson recently bagged the ‘Player of the Tournament’ award at the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in India.
Shubman Gill joins elite list in IPL
Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill belted 84 runs from 44 balls against the Rajasthan Royals in match number 52 of the IPL 2026 season. The innings helped Gill soar past the 400-run mark this tournament, doing so in just 10 innings at an average of 46.20.
In doing so, the elegant right-hander became only the fourth cricketer in IPL history to score 400 or more runs in seven successive editions of the tournament.
