Rajasthan Royals suffered a demoralizing defeat at the hands of Gujarat Titans in match number 52 of the IPL 2026 season in Jaipur. The outcome marked Royals’ second successive defeat this tournament, their fifth in the last seven games and also their fifth overall this tournament. 

Even though the Riyan Parag-led side has lost its winning momentum, the franchise still stands as one of the leading contenders to qualify for the IPL 2026 playoffs. In a bid to qualify for the playoffs, Rajasthan Royals need to win at least two of its remaining three matches, regardless of margins. By winning two matches, the Royals will get to 16 points, which has proven more than enough to qualify for the playoffs in 74-match IPL seasons.

Moreover, if they win each of their remaining three matches, the franchise will get to 18 points to solidify themselves of securing a top two finish.

If the Rajasthan Royals manage to win just one of its remaining three games, they will only get to 14 points and will be forced to heavily rely on NRR and exterior results.
