Finn Allen bulldozed Delhi Capitals bowlers as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise reboot IPL 2026 with winning ways. The outcome marked KKR’s fourth successive win of the tournament, after starting out the season with five defeats and a no-result in six games.

Still in with an outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs owing to their latest insurgence, here is a look at KKR’s entire scenario for making it among the top four sides of the season by the end of the league stage.

How can KKR qualify for IPL 2026 playoffs?

The KKR franchise started out the IPL 2026 season with five defeats and a no-result from its first six matches. Ajinkya Rahane and co. reversed their fortunes with a thrilling win over Rajasthan Royals on April 19. Since then, the franchise has also defeated LSG, SRH and Delhi Capitals to form a new winning sequence, thus storming back to the season’s playoffs race.

Finn Allen smashed an electrifying 47-ball 100* in the win against the Capitals as KKR received a massive NRR boost in the process. At the moment, they are ranked seventh on the IPL 2026 points table with nine points courtesy of four wins and five losses from 10 games.

They are also holding an NRR of -0.169, which is considerably better than what it used to be up until a few days ago.

In a bid to qualify for the playoffs, KKR now need to win each of its remaining four matches, and with convincing margins. In such a scenario, Ajinkya Rahane’s troops will get to 17 points at the end of the league stage.

Statistically, 17 points would warrant a place in the playoffs for the KKR. However, they also need for certain exterior results to go their way. For instance, the KKR franchise will be hoping that CSK suffers at least two defeats in their remaining four games.

They will also hope for any two of the three franchises (RCB, Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans) to remain stranded at 16 points before the knockouts. If all exterior results play out perfectly, KKR might not even need to rely on NRR at the end.

What are KKR’s remaining games of IPL 2026?

As per the IPL 2026 schedule, the KKR franchise still has four matches remaining in the bank. Their final three league matches of the tournament will be played at their home ground, the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Here is a look at KKR’s remaining schedule of the tournament.
