Haris Rauf Teases Peter Siddle [Source: AFP]
Lahore Qalandars fast bowler Haris Rauf teased Multan Sultans pacer Peter Siddle by calling him a 'Chacha'. His Instagram story from the post-match went viral on social media.
The Qalandars and Sultans faced each other in the 11th match of the PSL 2026 season. Due to rain, the game was reduced to 13 overs per side. But it still turned out to be a thrilling contest.
Haris Rauf shares fun banter with Peter Siddle
Meanwhile, after the match, Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf met Australian veteran Peter Siddle. The duo posed for a picture, and Siddle shared the image on his Instagram story, calling Rauf his brother.
The embedded Instagram story showed the two players standing together on a cricket ground after a match, smiling with arms around each other.
However, Rauf was in the mood for some banter. He reposted the story and called Siddle ‘Chacha’, which means uncle in English.

This was not a dig in any sense. Calling someone “Chacha” is a friendly tease in South Asian culture, acknowledging seniority but in a humorous, affectionate way.
Hence, Haris Rauf was merely pulling Peter Siddle’s leg in this hilarious encounter.

Lahore beat Multan in a high-scoring thriller
Coming back to the game, Lahore Qalandars beat Multan Sultans by 20 runs in PSL 2026. Batting first in a 13-over per side contest, Lahore posted 185/5 on the board courtesy of Mohammad Naeem (60 off 28) and Parvez Hossain Emon (45 off 19).
Lahore blasted 66 runs in the powerplay alone, which lasted 3.5 overs. Moreover, the 86-run opening stand between Naeem and Emon set the tone early for the massive total.
On the other hand, Multan Sultans fought hard in the chase but were always slightly behind. Ashton Turner scored 52 off 22 balls while Shan Masood hammered 44 off just 18 balls.
But a 27-run powerplay ruined their tempo, and eventually, Multan Sultans fell short of 20 runs.
Mustafizur Rahman picked 2 wickets for Lahore Qalandars while Shaheen Afridi removed veteran Steve Smith.
Haris Rauf hits back at critics
That being said, Haris Rauf earlier firmly pushed back against growing criticism over his performances in high-pressure situations, stating that he completely ignores outside noise and does not engage with social media opinions.
"To be honest, I don’t look at social media at all because I know people talk without really knowing what they’re saying. In my opinion, when something actually happens in a match, it becomes clear — like how many fielders moved out, how many came in, what the conditions were. But people don’t notice these details. They only see that runs were scored, not how those runs actually came about or what the situation was," Rauf said in a press conference.
His comments came after a controversial PSL moment involving Lahore Qalandars vs Karachi Kings, where Karachi needed 14 runs in the final over.
Umpires grew suspicious and checked the quality of the ball. They eventually changed, suggesting it was tampered with, and awarded 5 penalty runs to Karachi.
The target was suddenly reduced to 9 runs, and Haris Rauf was bowling the final over. He conceded a four and a six, and the game ended in just 3 balls, leading to disappointment for Lahore Qalandars fans.
