Phil Salt with Donovan Ferreira during Hundred 2026 | PC- The Hundred
The Hundred 2026 came to an end with a dramatic finish, with the Manchester Super Giants (MSG) lifting their maiden silverware in the Hundred competition. The Jos Buttler-led side had a clinical tournament as a team, with each department contributing at key junctures.
Although they were the best team of the tournament after the league stage, MSG outclassed the Trent Rockets on the night of the final to lift the silverware on Sunday.
Nevertheless, in this article, we won’t celebrate the winners, but we will discuss the ones who didn’t have the best of times. Here, we will analyse the Flop XI of the Hundred 2026, considering their woeful performances throughout the season.
Flop XI of the Hundred 2026
Top Order: Phil Salt, Aiden Markram, Joe Root
Phil Salt, the captain of Welsh Fire in the Hundred 2026, didn't perform as per his set standards. Although he scored a couple of odd 40s this season, the swashbuckler just racked up 195 runs in eight innings, at a substandard average and strike rate of 27.86/114.71.
Partnering Salt, Aiden Markram has to be a part of the Flop XI of the Hundred 2026. Although his side has won the silverware, the South African left the tournament midway due to personal reasons. His unavailability brought Paul Walter into the mix, resulting in MSG getting a dream opening pair. Markram could only score 117 runs in five innings, striking at 127.17 this season.
Barring an unbeaten half-century, Joe Root didn't do much throughout his campaign for the Welsh Fire. The England Test captain scored 186 runs at 31 with a strike rate below 115. Thus, he has to be included in the Flop team of the tournament.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Donovan Ferreira, David Miller, Tim David, Nikhil Chaudhary
Birmingham Phoenix had invested a lot in the South African Donovan Ferreira, who didn't pay off at all. He could only manage 101 runs in eight innings and snapped up zilch wickets. Thus, he is among the top contenders in the Flop XI of the Hundred 2026.
Southern Brave's David Miller and Nikhil Chaudhary are also part of the Flop XI of the tournament. The two overseas recruits didn't win any matches, quite literally, as their side finished in the bottom half of the Hundred 2026 points table.
The ever-attacking Tim David is also on the list, even though Trent Rockets ended the tournament as runners-up. The burly hitter didn't make any contributions whatsoever to his side's run, as he finished with just 90 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 107.14.
Bowlers: Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed, Matt Henry, Adam Zampa
Just like David, Mohammad Amir was also in the Trent Rockets squad in the Hundred 2026. Playing as a local player this season, the left-arm seamer could only bank 7 wickets in 9 outings. Although his economy was 6.57, Amir didn't perform according to his set expectations.
The second bowler on the list has to be Abrar Ahmed, as the Sunrisers Leeds bowler picked up just four wickets in 8 matches at an economy of 10.12. His spinning partner in the Flop XI of the Hundred 2026 will be Australia's Adam Zampa, who took three wickets in five outings.
The last but not the least will be Trent Rockets' Matt Henry. Again his side reached the finals, but he could five wickets in eight games.
