The Hundred Men’s competition has now completed six seasons, producing four different champions and plenty of memorable finals. Oval Invincibles remain the most successful side with three consecutive titles from 2023 to 2025, while Manchester Super Giants became the latest champions after defeating Trent Rockets by five wickets in the 2026 final at Lord's.

Moreover, four teams, including Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Welsh Fire, and Sunrisers Leeds, are yet to win their first title.

All Things First In The Hundred 2026

The competition was launched by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2021, designed to attract newer audiences to cricket with a shorter, faster format. Moreover, the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London hosts every final.

For the readers unfamiliar with the format, in The Hundred, each team faces 100 balls per innings (not 20 overs). Bowlers deliver sets of five or ten consecutive balls from one end.

Eight teams compete in a round-robin group stage. The top-placed team goes directly to the final. Teams finishing second and third meet in an Eliminator. The winner then faces the top team in the final.

In 2026, an IPL-style player auction replaced the old draft system. The inaugural auction took place in London on March 11-12, 2026, with women’s and men’s auctions on consecutive days.

Teams could include four overseas players per squad, up from three in previous seasons. The Men’s team purse values also rose by 45% to approximately £2.05 million per franchise.

Notably, with IPL-backed ownership and changes to the competition’s structure, The Hundred enters its next chapter with the Manchester Super Giants adding a new name to the men’s winners list.

In this article, take a look at The Hundred Men's winners over the years, 2021 to 2026.

The Hundred Men's 2021 Winner- Southern Brave

On August 21, 2021, Paul Stirling, who earned the Player of the Match award, and Ross Whiteley’s fine knocks helped Southern Brave lift the inaugural The Hundred trophy as they defeated Birmingham Phoenix in the final by 32 runs at the Lord’s.

Stirling's 61 off 36 deliveries was instrumental in setting up a good platform for Brave, while Whiteley, batting at No. 6, blasted a 19-ball 44 not out to power his side to 168/5.

Liam Livingstone's 46 off 19 and a measured 36 from skipper Moeen Ali kept Phoenix in the hunt, but once they departed, the lower order couldn't keep up with the mounting required rate as Brave eased to a title victory.

Livingstone won the Player of the Series award for an exceptional tournament that included 348 runs and 5 wickets across all matches.

The Hundred Men's 2022 Winner- Trent Rockets

Led by Sam Cook’s 4 for 18, Manchester Originals’ six-match winning streak was brought to an end in the final of the The Hundred, at Lord’s on September 4, 2022, as Trent Rockets secured a thrilling two-wicket win in a low-scoring affair to clinch the title.

Trent Rockets chased down Manchester Originals’ 120/9 with just two balls to spare. Sam Cook was the hero with the ball, tearing through Manchester’s top order with 4/18 from 20 balls. His performance remains one of the best bowling displays in any Hundred final.

With 11 needed off the final set of five balls, captain Lewis Gregory smashed Richard Gleeson for a six and a four to get Rockets over the line.

Dawid Malan won the Player of the Series award after topping the tournament’s run charts with 377 runs at an average of 53.85.

The Hundred Men's 2023 Winner- Oval Invincibles

Sparkling half-centuries from Tom Curran and Jimmy Neesham helped Oval Invincibles (now MI London) clinch the title at Lord's against Manchester Originals. Sent in to bat in the final, Invincibles made a disastrous start as Jason Roy was dismissed for a three-ball duck.

They received further setbacks as Paul Stirling was also sent packing by Richard Gleeson, which was then followed by Sam Curran's dismissal for a first-ball duck.

Having lost half the side and with the run rate below six, Invincibles were expected to cave in at that point. However, Neesham and Tom Curran turned things around in stunning fashion with a century partnership.

The two batters batted out the remaining deliveries with both of them registering half-centuries. Neesham remained unbeaten on 57, whereas Curran cleared the ropes five times in his unbeaten 67 as the two players added 127 to guide their side to a strong 161/5.

The Hundred Men's 2024 Winner- Oval Invincibles

In the 2024 season of The Hundred, Sam Billings-led Oval Invincibles won the men’s title for the second time by defeating Southern Brave by 17 runs in the final at Lord’s on August 18, 2024.

Asked to bat first, the Invincibles posted a stiff total of 147 thanks to contributions right through. First up, it was Will Jacks who set the tone upfront with a quickfire 37. However, they lost four wickets for nine runs in quick succession. Cameos from the lower order, led by Tom Curran, helped them reach a respectable total.

In the chase, the Southern Brave got off to a good start with openers Alex Davies and James Vince putting on a 50-plus stand first up. Their fate was sealed after a middle-order collapse akin to the one the Invincibles had suffered earlier.

The eventually meandered to 130 and left the Invincibles with much to cheer about in another successful season.

The Hundred Men's 2025 Winner- Oval Invincibles

On September 1, 2025, Oval Invincibles completed The Hundred three-peat. They wrapped up a hat-trick of Hundred titles with a 26-run victory over Trent Rockets, riding on Will Jacks’ blistering 72 and Nathan Sowter’s game-breaking spell (3-25).

Having looked set to get close to 180, they stumbled at the death to finish on 169/5 and looked set to finish runners-up for the first time, but the bowlers stepped up to avoid that.

Sam Curran bowled three good deliveries in the penultimate set of the match, giving just three runs, but Stoinis capped that off with a six and a four.

Even with that, the ask was 33 off the last five, which was beyond the grasp of even Stoinis. Mahmood gave away no width and tied down the batters in the last set, completing the title win with Stoinis's wicket on the last delivery for a valiant 64 off 38.

The Hundred Men's 2026 Winner- Manchester Super Giants

On September 16, 2026, New Zealand opener Tim Seifert’s blistering innings paved the way for Manchester Super Giants’ (formerly Manchester Originals) five-wicket win over Trent Rockets in the final of The Hundred 2026 at Lord’s.

Seifert’s 72 off just 38 balls, including seven sixes and four fours, left the Super Giants well on course to chase down a decent target of 159 set by the Rockets.

But former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir dismissed dangerous South African Heinrich Klaasen and New Zealand’s Michael Bracewell before Ben Sanderson bowled two dot balls to bring the equation down to three needed off three.

However, English veteran Liam Dawson held his nerve to hit the winning runs with a six over mid-wicket as Manchester secured its maiden The Hundred title.
