Who is better in six-hitting: Priyansh Arya or Vaibhav Sooryavanshi?
Recently, the 24-year-old Priyansh Arya self-labelled himself as a better six-hitter than the ever-attacking Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The two talented southpaws are regarded as the finest upcoming openers in the Indian ecosystem, known for tearing apart bowling up front.
Notably, both Arya and Sooryavanshi have played the same amount of IPL cricket, being part of the lucrative league since the 2025 season.
So far, the PBKS opener has played 30 innings, racking up 839 runs at a strike rate of 191.99. Meanwhile, the RR dasher has slammed 1028 runs in 23 outings at a strike rate of 228.95.
That said, Arya has tonked 57 maximums so far in his IPL career, while Sooryavanshi is closing in on 100 sixers, just four short of the landmark.
Priyansh Arya's topsy turvy time in DPL 2026
Playing for the Outer Delhi Warriors, Priyansh Arya hasn't had the best of the times in the DPL 2026. In seven innings, the swashbuckling batter has hit 133 runs with a whopping strike rate of 156.47.
Although he has had starts to his innings, Arya has failed to convert them into burly match-winning knocks. Apart from his 19-ball 46 against Purani Dilli-6 earlier in the tournament, he hasn’t done much to help the team’s cause.
Meanwhile, the Warriors are sitting second on the DPL 2026 points table, with five victories in eight matches. With the business end of the tournament just around the corner, the team will expect more from their star opener.
After a break, Outer Delhi will next be in action against the East Delhi Riders on August 21, before they play their final league vs North Delhi Strikers on August 23.
