The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 is currently being played across England and Wales, with teams battling for a place in the semi-finals. 

The tournament started on June 12, with the final scheduled for July 5. This is the biggest edition in the competition’s history, featuring 12 teams and 33 matches.

With every team having completed three group-stage matches, the race for the knockout stage is becoming increasingly exciting.

With the excitement of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 increasing with each passing match, fans must be wondering why there is no match Today (June 22).

Why Is There No Women's T20 World Cup Match Today?

There is no ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match on Monday, June 22, as it is likely a planned rest day.

Although the ICC has not issued a specific statement on the break, scheduled off days are common in major international tournaments. Such breaks allow players and support staff time to recover after a busy schedule.

When Will The Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Resume?

It is important to mention that the tournament will resume on Tuesday, June 23, with three matches lined up:

  • New Zealand Women vs Scotland Women - Bristol (Time - 3:00 PM IST)
  • Sri Lanka Women vs Ireland Women - Bristol (Time -7:00 PM IST )
  • Australia Women vs Pakistan Women - Headingley, Leeds (Time - 11:00 PM IST)

Women's T20 World Cup 2026 So Far

The India Women suffered their first defeat in the ongoing marquee tournament against South Africa Women by 6 wickets on June 21. Marizanne Kapp produced a match-winning unbeaten 81 off just 45 balls at a strike-rate of 180.00.

Talking about the other teams, England and Australia have looked dominant throughout the competition and have the all the three matches they have played.

West Indies also continued their impressive run by securing a third straight win. In their latest outing, they chased Sri Lanka's total of 98 runs and won by 5 wickets, strengthening their chances of reaching the semi-finals.

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 23 runs in their last match and have won 2 of the 3 matches they have played so far.

Semi-Final Qualification Scenario For Group A

In Group A, Australia Women are in the strongest position and are close to securing qualification. India face crucial matches against Bangladesh and Australia and will have to win the games to keep their semi-final hopes alive.

South Africa Women and Bangladesh Women are also still in contention, while Pakistan and the Netherlands have been eliminated.

Semi-Final Qualification Scenario For Group B

In Group B, England Women and West Indies Women have emerged as the leading contenders for the two semi-final spots. The winner of their upcoming clash will move a step closer to qualification.

New Zealand, Scotland and Sri Lanka still have mathematical chances but must win their remaining matches and depend on other results. From Group B, Ireland Women have been eliminated.
