Rohit Sharma completes 14,000 List A runs
Former Indian captain Rohit Sharma belted 48 runs from just 39 balls against Afghanistan in Lucknow in the second ODI of the series.
The legendary opener launched six boundaries and two sixes in the innings. Through the course of his knock, the 39-year-old completed 14,000 runs in List A cricket, thus becoming only the fifth batter in Indian history to scale the landmark figure.
Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill ton up to thrash Afghanistan in second ODI
Team India walloped Afghanistan by 170 runs in the second ODI to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Captain Shubman Gill notched up his career-best score of 154 off just 110 balls with 22 boundaries and two sixes.
Ishan Kishan also rained down 125 from just 79 deliveries to chart his second ODI century, and completed 1,000 runs in the format in the process.

Indian bowlers Gurnoor Brar and Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets each to fold up the visitors for just 232 in 44.3 overs.
West Indies name squad for Sri Lanka Test series
Cricket West Indies has named a strong 15-player West Indies squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Roston Chase will continue to lead the team, with Jomel Warrican set to serve as his deputy.
The group also features fellow star performers like Shai Hope, Shamar Joseph, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Kemar Roach among others.
Nat Sciver-Brunt ruled out of England’s T20 World Cup 2026 matches
England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of her team’s next two matches of the ongoing 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup at home. The legendary all-rounder has been suffering from an injury concern off late, prompting her to miss the home series against India and New Zealand.
The 33-year-old will now miss England’s Group 2 matches against Scotland and West Indies on June 20 and June 24 respectively.
Shreyanka Patil suffers injury in IND vs NED
India Women’s team steamrolled Netherlands by 95 runs in match number 10 of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Leeds. Smriti Mandhana won the ‘Player of the Match’ for scoring 74 runs off just 47 balls with 11 boundaries and a six.
During the Netherlands innings, Indian spinner Shreyanka Patil suffered a serious ankle injury and was stretchered off the field.
