India will begin their preparations for the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka with a three-day practice match against Sri Lanka XI at the Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground in Colombo. The warm-up fixture will be played from August 7 to 9 and will give the visitors valuable match practice before the two-Test series.
It is worth noting that the Indian team, under captain Shubman Gill, will be without fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, making the IND vs SL-XI warm-up match even more important as the bowlers will look to settle into their roles.
