Rohit Sharma will not be retiring after India’s upcoming third ODI of the series against England at Lord’s, as confirmed by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia. Fatima Sana has been replaced as captain of the Pakistan T20I side on an interim basis for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

Fatima Sana, Muneeba Ali to lead Pakistan Women in SL
The PCB has announced the entire Pakistan Women’s team squad for the upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka. Fatima Sana will continue to lead the ‘Women in Green’ in the three-match ODI series against the hosts.

However, Muneeba Ali will be leading Pakistan’s T20I side on an interim basis in the absence of The Hundred-bound Fatima. The PCB also made as many as eight changes to the T20I line-up after their 2026 World Cup horror.
West Indies recall Brandon King, Justin Greaves for NZ ODIs
Cricket West Indies has recalled attacking top-order batter Brandon King and ace all-rounder Justin Greaves for the remainder of their five-match home ODI series against New Zealand. The two cricketers were roped in as official replacements of injury-stuck Roston Chase and John Campbell.
The West Indies cricket team is currently trailing the five-match series 1-2 after three games.
Harsh Dubey replaces Washington Sundar in India squad vs ENG
The BCCI has named young Indian bowling all-rounder Harsh Dubey in the national squad for the impending series-deciding third ODI against England. The 24-year-old was named in the squad as an official replacement of Washington Sundar.
Washington recently sustained a right hamstring injury in Cardiff and was ruled out of the decider. The cricketer is set to undergo scans and seek a specialist opinion for further management of his injury.
Justin Langer frontrunner to coach England in Tests
Former Australian opener Justin Langer has emerged as a frontrunner to replace Brendon McCullum as the head coach of the England Test team. Langer has previously coached the Australian cricket team, and he also works with the LSG franchise in the IPL.
It is worth noting that McCullum was recently sacked by the ECB as England’s Test coach after their successive series defeats to Australia and New Zealand.
Devajit Saikia debunks Rohit Sharma retirement reports
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has debunked the retirement rumours of legendary Indian opener Rohit Sharma. Saikia said that the former Indian captain will continue to play for Team India as long as he is in the “scheme of things”.
Earlier, it was reported that Sharma would be announcing his retirement after the third ODI of the series against England, considering he was “informed” about his dreadful World Cup 2027 fate by the BCCI.
