IPL 2026 delivered plenty of unforgettable moments. The season witnessed several young stars stepping up under pressure and producing match-winning performances when their teams needed them the most.

While Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted their second IPL trophy, many individual innings stood out for their quality and impact.

Here is a look at the five best knocks of IPL 2026, along with their ratings.

Best Knocks of IPL 2026

5. Tilak Varma in GT vs MI (101* off 45)– 7.5/10

Tilak Varma emerged as Mumbai Indians’ biggest hero during their league-stage clash against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Mumbai had struggled for consistency throughout the IPL 2026 season. Therefore, the team needed someone to take responsibility in a difficult situation.

The innings started on a worrying note for Mumbai Indians. Quinton de Kock departed for 13, while Danish Malewar managed only 2 runs. As a result, Mumbai found themselves in trouble at 44/3 inside six overs.

At that stage, Tilak Varma joined Naman Dhir in the middle. Together, they steadied the innings with a valuable partnership. Initially, the scoring rate remained under control. Nevertheless, Tilak gradually shifted gears and began attacking the bowlers with confidence.

His transformation was remarkable. He moved from 19 runs off 22 balls to a fifty in just 33 deliveries. Thereafter, he completely dominated the Gujarat bowling attack. One elegant shot followed another as he showcased his full range of strokes.

Tilak remained unbeaten on 101 off just 45 balls, registering his maiden IPL century. His knock included eight fours and seven sixes. Furthermore, it became the joint-fastest century for Mumbai Indians in IPL history.

4. Shubman Gill in GT vs RR Qualifier 2 (104 off 53)– 8/10

Big players often deliver in the biggest matches, and Shubman Gill proved exactly that in Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals.

The stakes could not have been higher. Rajasthan Royals had posted a challenging total of 213 runs after a sensational 96-run knock from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Therefore, Gujarat Titans faced immense pressure during the chase.

Sudharsan contributed a quick 58 from 32 balls before getting out in an unfortunate manner. Even after losing his partner, Gill remained calm and composed. Rather than allowing pressure to affect him, he continued to lead from the front.

The Gujarat skipper produced a masterclass, scoring 104 runs from only 53 deliveries. Moreover, it was his fifth IPL century.

Although Jofra Archer eventually dismissed him, Gill had already done enough to put Gujarat on course for victory. The Titans chased down the target in just 18.4 overs and won by seven wickets to reach the final.
