Kapp made her international debut in the 2009 ICC Womenâs World Cup. She made her debut against Australia, and despite bowling at an economical rate and impressing everyone with her raw pace, South Africa lost the match by 61 runs.
Four years later, in the 2013 World Cup, Kapp registered the highest-ever score by a South Africa womenâs player at the World Cups. She slammed an unbeaten 102 against Pakistan at Cuttack, and also was at her menacing best with the ball in hand, picking up 3 crucial wickets to guide the Proteas to the Super Sixes stage.
She continued her red hot form in the shortest format of the game, and in a T20I match against Bangladesh, Kapp became just the third woman to grab a T20I hat-trick.
Kapp was the lone warrior for the Proteas at the 2018 Womenâs T20 World Cup. The Port Elizabeth born player was the leading run-scorer for her team in the tournament with 98 runs in four matches.
Kapp has also represented the Sydney Sixers in the inaugural season of the Womenâs Big Bash League in 2015. The all-rounder finished the tournament with 17 wickets at an economy of 4.28 runs per over.
Kapp has been the most consistent player for the Proteas over the past decade. Her ability to rotate the strike is second to none. Not only with the bat, but Kapp is equally menacing with the ball. She is well equipped with raw pace and aggressive bowling nature.
