[What was going through your mind when they were reduced to 64/8] Obviously, tough position to be in. Credit to Kirstie though. The way she batted with me, it shows great character. The wicket was a bit tricky. Once we got past 100 and to get 120, it was bonus.

10:19 PM IST & 5:49 PM Local Time: London Spirit have completely choked under pressure here in the London Derby! It is a massive result for MI London as they register their first win of the season and keep their campaign alive as they clinch a thrilling 3-run victory here at the Home of Cricket.
Earlier in the day, London Spirit won the toss and elected to chase. It was a disappointing outing with the bat for MI London, who never managed to get going and struggled for momentum throughout the innings. The wickets kept falling at regular intervals and by the end of the powerplay they were in serious trouble at 17/2. The innings continued to unravel as London Spirit's bowlers maintained relentless pressure. MI London slipped to 64/8 at one stage, with the batting line-up unable to build any meaningful partnerships. Amidst the collapse, Amelia Kerr stood tall and fought a lone battle, holding one end together while wickets tumbled around her.
Amelia Kerr (69* off 41) showed tremendous character and determination, batting right through the innings and ensuring MI London posted something on the board. The visitors collected 26 runs from the final 10 balls eventually finishing on 122/9 from their 100 balls. Amelia Kerr was outstanding, scoring 69 of those runs, while only one other batter managed to reach double figures. Charlie Dean was the pick of the London Spirit bowlers, finishing with impressive figures of 3/26.
In reply, MI London made the perfect start with the ball, striking twice inside the powerplay to put London Spirit under early pressure. Marizanne Kapp attempted to rebuild the innings, but the hosts struggled to gain momentum and slipped from 33/2 after 25 balls to 36/3 shortly after. Kapp and Charlie Dean tried to steady things with a partnership, but Nicola Carey removed Dean for 9, leaving London Spirit in trouble at 51/4. At the halfway stage, they were 54/4 and needed 69 runs from the final 50 balls.
