For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Soumarya Dutta and the scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Good night.
Up next, we have another WCPL encounter lined up and the first ball will be bowled after an hour and fifteen minutes, that is 12:30 AM IST and 3 PM Local Time. Barbados Tridents and Jamaica Empress will lock horns at the same ground. Do join us for that.
Points table of WCPL 2026 is nicely poised now. Trinbago Knight Riders have lost their first game after winning two on the trot. Guyana Amazon Warriors have jumped to the second position of the points table with this 25-run victory over the Knight Riders. This will give the Chloe Tryon-led side a lot of confidence before their next game tomorrow.

Chloe Lesleigh Tryon (Guyana Amazon Warriors Women Captain): "(What a good win!) Yeah we will take that. Probably we could have done better in the first innings. We could have built the partnerships, but we kept losing wickets. But the fight we showed in the second innings was incredible to watch. We just wanted to make impact and the bowlers got the job done today.
(What's the most pleasing on defending such a low total?) Just the character that we showed. Like I said, we could not do it in the first innings. But after that first over of Ismail, I knew she could strike. It is not easy to bowl three overs. Lot of character showed today to defend the low total against a quality side. Hope this gives us confidence for tomorrow's game.
(Will you be watching the Barbados-Jamaica game?) Probably. Probably we will be sitting together. I am just taking the win today, but we will have to turn around quickly and rectify a few things for tomorrow's game. We will assess it and come back tomorrow."

Deandra Dottin (Trinibago Knight Riders Women Captain)- "(On the loss) We didn't do that well and we collapsed with the bat. We also conceded a few extra runs towards the back end with the ball. I still feel that we could have won this game.
(On where the game went away from their grip)We lost too many quick wickets in the powerplay. It is about taking the positives from this game and not dwelling too much on the negatives. We have to move on quite quickly and learn from our mistakes from this game.
(On whether they have the side to win the competition) Of course we have a great team and we do have the ability to win the tournament. At the end of the day cricket plays on a day and we have to stick to our plans and then remain consistent. If our plans come together then we can definitely lift the trophy. "

Shabnim Ismail(Guyana Amazon Warriors Women, Player of the Match) - " (On the win and her effort with the ball) Obviously we needed to win this game. TKR have a world class lineup and we had to do well. Had to get our plans spot on. We did well in the powerplay today as myself and Connell executed the plans well.
(On her bowling partner Connell)Nothing fancy upfront and just stick to what works and things went very well today. It came off well. Myself and Connell are good mates and it was great to bowl with her. We were watching the bowlers in the first innings and also watched how Marizanne Kapp bowled. We followed that strategy and executed the plans perfectly when we bowled. "
