A crafty left-arm orthodox spinner and an electric presence on the field, Radha Yadav has established herself as one of India’s finest T20 bowlers. Known for her accuracy, clever variations, and fearless attitude, she has been a consistent wicket-taker in the middle overs.
Originally from Mumbai, Radha shifted to Baroda to pursue better cricketing opportunities, a move that transformed her career.
Her relentless rise through the domestic circuit eventually earned her a place in the Indian team, where she has become a key member of the white-ball setup.
Radha Yadav Early Career
Born on April 21, 2000, Radha Yadav’s cricketing journey began in Mumbai before she moved to Baroda in search of greater opportunities. Representing Gujarat in domestic cricket, she impressed selectors with her disciplined bowling and remarkable consistency.
Her performances made history as she became the first woman cricketer from the Gujarat domestic side to earn an India call-up. At just 17 years of age, Radha was selected for India’s tour of South Africa in 2018, marking the beginning of a promising international career.
Radha Yadav International Career
Radha Yadav made her T20I debut against South Africa on February 13, 2018, and wasted little time in announcing herself on the global stage. Later that year, she represented India at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and finished as the team’s joint-highest wicket-taker with eight wickets in just five matches.
Her ability to control the run flow while picking up crucial wickets soon made her a regular in India’s T20I side. She went on to make her ODI debut on March 14, 2021, adding another dimension to her international career.
Over the years, Radha has featured in multiple ICC tournaments and has developed into one of India’s most reliable left-arm spinners. A dependable lower-order batter and a brilliant fielder, she has also crossed the landmark of 100 T20I wickets for India, becoming only the second Indian woman to achieve the feat.
She was also a member of the Indian squad that scripted history by winning the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
