Rohit Sharma wins Padma Shri
Rohit Sharma has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Padma Shri’. The former Indian captain received the honour from none other than Indian President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi. Sharma was spotted attending the event in the nation’s capital alongside his wife Ritika Sajdeh.

The legendary opener was conferred with the honour alongside active women’s skipper Harmanpreet Kaur back in January earlier this year. He will now be touring England for India’s ODI series.
Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav complete LSG, DC trade for IPL 2027
The LSG and the Delhi Capitals franchises have traded seasoned wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav with each other for next year’s IPL 2027 season. Pant will now be re-joining the Capitals setup following his unsuccessful two-year stint with the LSG.
For Kuldeep, the LSG will mark his third franchise in the tournament after playing five seasons each for the KKR and the Delhi Capitals.
Shree Charani crowned number one amid T20 World Cup 2026
Indian spinner Shree Charani has been crowned the new number one ranked bowler in Women’s T20I ICC bowling rankings. The cricketer was rewarded for her heroics in the ongoing 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England, having picked up 10 wickets in just three innings so far in the tournament.
Charani is also leading the wicket-taking race of the T20 World Cup 2026, and she delivered match-winning spells against Pakistan and Netherlands.
Ben Stokes returns as captain in England playing XI vs NZ
The ECB has named England’s entire playing XI for the upcoming third Test of the series against New Zealand. All-rounders Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson both made their returns to the team, after missing the second Test in London for their involvement in the nightclub controversy.
Stokes will also lead the national side, thus reprising his role after Joe Root took over as interim skipper last week at The Oval.
KKR approach Hardik Pandya for IPL 2027: Report
The KKR franchise has reportedly expressed its interest in acquiring Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya. The report also states that the KKR franchise has already approached the Mumbai Indians management, and there have been a few rounds of discussions between the two franchises.
Pandya’s time at the Mumbai Indians camp has been a controversial one, with the cricketer failing to lead the team to playoffs twice in three seasons.
