Rohit Sharma has been the real entertainer of the India vs Afghanistan ODI series. His on-field presence has been charming and exhilarating, given that he does not miss a chance to banter with on-field players. 

His antics were seen in the final India vs Afghanistan third ODI match as well, when the batter deliberately tricked the Afghanistan players into taking a false DRS, burning their review. 

His antics were met with a shared laugh among the Afghanistan players and Rohit Sharma, with the Men in Blue eventually winning the series 3-0.

Rohit Sharma Provokes Afghanistan To Waste DRS After Lucky Escape

Rohit was at his usual self when he came to open the innings for India while chasing a target of 219 alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

Sharma, who didn't find success in the first two games, had a solid outing with his 69-ball 79, thanks to a hilarious misfield from Fareed Malik off Ziaur Rahman's delivery that gave him an early lifeline. 

Utilising that, Rohit produced yet another moment of hilarious banter on the ground in the 16th over, sharing his comical antics with Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan.

How Rohit Pranked Rashid Khan?

During the fourth ball of the 16th over, Rohit Sharma was on 52 against Rashid Khan. Rashid delivered a good-length leg-spin delivery that bamboozled Rohit, who tried to play a defensive shot towards the offside. 

The ball beat Rohit, and it seemed to have grazed past the bat's edge, as wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz appealed loudly for a wicket to the umpire. As the whole Afghanistan unit appealed loudly, Rohit pulled off a hilarious prank on the opposition.

As Rashid Khan and co. were seriously discussing whether they should take the DRS review or not, Rohit acted mysteriously, mouthing the words, "Something might have touched, something might have nicked offt my bat. I heard something. I think you guys should take a review."

This sudden act of Rohit Sharma left the Afghanistan players confused, and ultimately, the team decided to go for a review. In the Snickometer and UltraEdge, it gave a clean chit to Sharma as there was a flat line and a huge gap between the bat and the ball as they crossed each other. 

As the review went on screen, Rohit laughed hilariously at the Afghanistan players, and both teams shared an easy moment with each other. But the drama didn't end there. 

Rohit Provokes Afghanistan Into Another Mistake

Soon after that, on the very next ball, Rashid Khan again delivered a witty leg-spin delivery that Rohit wanted to cut wide. However, the ball again missed his bat and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, alongside Rashid Khan, appealed towards the umpire. 

Seeing that appeal, Rohit Sharma again provoked the Afghanistan players to take another DRS review, asking, "Le lo, le lo." However, Rashid Khan and co didn't fall for that trap and ended the over with Rohit batting on 52 runs from 50 deliveries.

India Clean Sweeps Afghanistan 3-0 At Home

As the two teams shared the light-hearted banter on the field, it was a dismal outing for Afghanistan in the third ODI at the M. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. 

The batting unit faltered, with only Hashmatullah Shahidi, the skipper, saving face with his 131-ball century. Asmatullah Omarzai also put up a vital 56-ball 50 to breach the 200-run mark. 

However, Yashasvi Jaiswal's fighting century and Rohit's 79 saw India chase the target with nine wickets remaining and inside 28.4 overs, handing them a 3-0 victory in the ODI series.
