Rohit Sharma to miss Mumbai Indians’ match vs PBKS: Report

Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma will likely miss his team’s upcoming IPL 2026 match against the Punjab Kings on April 16. As reported by Cricbuzz, the cricketer is still under observation. Sharma is currently in the midst of a hamstring issue, which first came to light during Mumbai Indians’ previous game against the RCB last weekend.

An official statement from a spokesperson reads “The medical team is assessing him, and a decision will be taken before the match.”

Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam achieves huge T20 record

Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam struck an unbeaten 71* against Quetta Gladiators in match number 23 of the PSL 2026 season in Karachi. The innings marked Babar’s 100 T20th half-century, to go along with his 11 hundreds. The 31-year-old has now joined an illustrious list, becoming only the fourth cricketer in the history of the format to tonk 100 half-centuries, joining David Warner, Virat Kohli and Jos Buttler.

Virat Kohli achieves huge sixes record for RCB in IPL 2026

Virat Kohli compiled 49 runs off 34 balls against LSG in match 23 of the IPL 2026 season. The legendary opener launched six boundaries and a six in Bengaluru through the course of his match-winning knock. In the process, Kohli has now become the leading six-hitter in IPL matches among Indian openers, surpassing KL Rahul’s tally of 184 maximums as IPL opener.

He also became the third leading six-hitter as an opening batter overall, Indian or overseas, in IPL cricket.

MS Dhoni likely to return for SRH match, to confirm soon

Former CSK captain MS Dhoni might well be making his return to the playing XI of his team in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter was earlier ruled out of the competition for a couple of weeks owing to a calf strain. However, a report indicates that Dhoni is now inching towards full recovery, and will be taking a final call on April 16 morning on whether he will be travelling to Hyderabad for the match against SRH.

Rubel Hossain announces retirement for Bangladesh

Bangladesh fast bowler Rubel Hossain has announced his retirement from international cricket. The 36-year-old, also the hero of Bangladesh’s quarter-final appearance in the 2015 World Cup, confirmed the same on his Facebook account. It is worth noting that Rubel has not played a single competitive match since January last year, and he last played any form of international cricket back in April 2021 during a series in New Zealand.
