The Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) is nothing short of a celebration in the country of 1.48 billion people, and the IPL final is treated like a cricketing festival in India.
As fans get increasingly excited about the IPL finale, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to host the IPL 2026 final at the world's biggest cricket stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on May 31.
The Indian board tends to invite various VIPs and dignitaries from across fields to the IPL final, and they will continue the same tradition this season.

ICC's meeting scheduled in Ahmedabad on May 30-31
Notably, Mohsin Naqvi, along with other board chiefs of the ICC full members, is scheduled to be in Ahmedabad for a meeting of the apex body.
The ICC meeting was earlier scheduled to be hosted in the Middle East, but was postponed due to the ongoing war. However, now, it is scheduled for May 30 and 31 in the Indian city of Ahmedabad. The board members are slated to discuss the expansion of the WTC cycle and the inclusion of one-off Tests in it.
Earlier, the PCB chief remarked that Pakistan want to play all Test-playing nations in WTC, hinting at the revival of Indo-Pak Test matches.
"We will play Tests against all member boards in the next FTP," Mohsin Naqvi had said after a bilateral meeting with BCB in Dhaka.
Why IPL 2026 final moved out of Bengaluru?
Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium previously had the rights to host the IPL 2026, with RCB being the defending champions. However, following dramatic political turmoil, the BCCI was forced to move the final from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, New Chandigarh and Dharamsala - the home and adopted home grounds of Punjab Kings, who finished as runners-up last season, will host the Qualifiers and Eliminator.
Having said that, with 11 league games to go, all four playoff spots are open among eight teams.
