In a significant development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Saturday (May 15) officially announced Pakistan's 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
Fatima Sana has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan's side for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026.
It is important to mention that, ahead of the Women's T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan will play in a tri-series including Ireland and the West Indies.
In the highly anticipated series, Pakistan will face the West Indies on May 29, followed by Ireland on May 31, then the West Indies again on June 3, and Ireland on June 4.

The Pakistan's squad also includes several new faces who will be making their debut in the Women's T20 World Cup. These players are Eyman Fatima, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Saira Jabeen and Tasmia Rubab.
Talking about the squad, Pakistan have named a strong squad with several experienced and in-form players included in the team. The team will heavily depend on star player Gull Feroza at the top of the order, alongside wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali and Ayesha Zafar.
In the bowling department, Pakistan will be led by spinners Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, Tuba Hassan, and Rameen Shamim. The pace department will be supported by Fatima Sana, Diana Baig and Tasmia Rubab.
In the middle order, players like Natalia Parvaiz, Iram Javed, Aliya Riaz and Saira Jabeen could provide important support when needed.

Pakistan have been placed in Group 1 alongside strong teams including India Women, Australia Women, South Africa Women, Bangladesh Women and Netherlands Women.

Ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup, Pakistan will also play two warm-up fixtures. Pakistan's first warm-up fixture is against Sri Lanka on Saturday, 6 June, followed by Scotland on Tuesday, 9 June.
Pakistan will begin their World Cup journey with a highly anticipated clash against arch-rivals India on June 14 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
After the India match, Pakistan will again play at Edgbaston against South Africa on June 17. The team will then travel to Southampton for their third group-stage fixture against Bangladesh at the Hampshire Bowl on June 20.
Pakistan's fourth match will be against Australia on June 23 at Headingley in Leeds. In the last group-stage match, Pakistan will face the Netherlands on June 27.
