The recently concluded Bangladesh vs Pakistan was full of spicy controversies, with Litton Das and Mohammad Rizwan taking the center stage.
Not only did the tourists lose the series (0-2), but they were whitewashed under Shan Masood's leadership.
The horrible loss to archrivals has led to massive changes in the leadership, with reports suggesting the PCB is looking past head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and Masood.
However, after the Test series in Bangladesh, the Men in Green pulled off a turnaround by beating Australia 2-1 in ODIs. Interestingly, both Rizwan and Masood were a part of the Pakistan squad for the Australia series.
Litton Das calls out Mohammad Rizwan's unsportsmanship
Fortnight after beating Pakistan at home, Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das has spoken about the episode with his counterpart, Mohammad Rizwan.
During both Test matches, where Rizwan scored half-centuries, he had off-field spats with Litton Das. The Bangladesh keeper was seen sledging his opposite number while he was batting.
Litton has mentioned that on-field altercations should be left on the ground. Furthermore, he said that Rizwan didn't shake hands with Das, while the whole Pakistan team did.
"Whatever happens on the field, once the game is over, everyone should shake hands. After the first Test, Rizwan didn’t come to shake hands with us. No matter how big a player is, that shouldn’t happen," Litton Das told Prothom Alo.

Topsy-turvy returns for Mohammad Rizwan
Mohammad Rizwan was the leading run-getter for Pakistan during their whitewash in Bangladesh, including a fighting 59 at Dhaka and an equally brilliant 94 in Sylhet. He scored a total of 181 runs in four innings at an average of 45.25.
The 34-year-old has been mocked for his apparent acting gimmicks, which he tends to bring to break the momentum during play.
After Pakistan's infamous ODI series defeat, the prolific batter had to pay the price, losing his place in the ODI squad to younger blood, Ghazi Ghori and Rohail Nazir.
Moreover, he was dropped from Pakistan's squad in the 2026 T20 World Cup, on the back of a horrendous time in Australia during the BBL 2025/26, where he scored a mere 187 runs in 10 innings at a woeful strike rate of 102.75.
To make things worse, he had a similar time in the PSL 2026, scoring just 204 runs off 10 innings and striking at 116.57. He captained the RawalPindiz, who won just a solitary game in their maiden season.
Has Mohammad Rizwan become irrelevant for Pakistan?
As the PCB are looking at fresh faces in the limited-overs teams, players such as Mohammad Rizwan would need to re-evaluate their game as per the current standards.
At 34, he is already heading towards the twilight of his career, but he still has a lot to offer in the longer formats. Moreover, in his previous two ODI outings, he slammed unbeaten fifties, both in winning causes.
