Shadab Khan has been a seasoned T20 campaigner for Pakistan over the years. Recently, the star all-rounder had a terrific PSL tournament for the Islamabad United, which resulted in a comeback in the ODI squad after three years.
Playing in his first ODI match after the World Cup 2023, Shadab contributed in all three departments for the Men in Green in the 2-1 series victory over Australia.
Although the all-rounder went wicketless in the first two matches, Shadab Khan turned the game around with the ball, taking two wickets, in the final ODI.
Moreover, he played a fine knock of 71 runs at Rawalpindi in the second match, but in the losing cause. Then, in the final game, he stitched a match-turning partnership with Abdul Samad to take Pakistan home in Rawalpindi.
Edinburgh Castle Rockers sign Shadab Khan for ETPL 2026
Shadab Khan, who has played over 350 T20s across the globe, has become the first Pakistan player to be signed up in the inaugural edition of the Abhishek Bachchan-co-owned European T20 Premier League (ETPL 2026).
The leg-spinning all-rounder has penned a deal with Edinburgh Castle Rockers, the franchise owned by a New Zealand-based consortium led by former Blackcaps cricketers Kyle Mills and Nathan McCullum.

Shadab has joined an initial core of players, consisting of Captain Mitchell Santner, Tom Bruce, Tom Curran, JJ Smuts, Andries Gous, who played with Shadab in PSL 2026, and Trent Boult. James Foster will be the head coach of the franchise.
Shadab Khan with vast experience as T20 agent
Shadab Khan has vast experience playing in franchise leagues such as the PSL, BBL, CPL, BPL, and the Hundred throughout his illustrious career, having played over 350 games in the shortest format. He has scored 3915 T20 runs at a strike rate of 137.46, alongside 389 at an economy of 7.58.
Additionally, he has played 124 T20Is for his country, amassing 1009 runs and scalping 123 wickets. Apart from his sheer experience, he brings an astute leadership mind to the table.
It is worth noting that Pakistan's white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson, has recently backed Shadab's credentials as an all-rounder during the Pakistan vs Australia ODI series.
Shadab has led Pakistan in six T20Is and has consistently led Islamabad United, which would be great for Mitchell Santner at Edinburgh Castle Rockers for the Abhishek Bachchan co-owned league.
