A horrific incident occurred during the final of the Jharkhand T20 League between Jamshedpur Steelers and Chota Nagpur Royals, which took place at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium Complex in Ranchi. It was so terrifying that it reminded fans of what happened outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium after RCB’s IPL 2025 triumph, a drought which was ended after 18 long years.
A large number of people who came to watch the final were injured in the Jharkhand T20 stampede. Of them, three were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital.
Of them, two were young women, while the other was a young man. The hospital they were admitted to was Raj Hospital in Ranchi.
Minister Asks Not To Panic After Jharkhand T20 Stampede
As per many local sources in Jharkhand, many fans came to enter the stadium via the West Gate in the Ranchi Stadium. The security check and entry procedures were so slow that long queues had formed within seconds.
It triggered a chaotic situation, and then stampede-like situation unfolded.
However, Jharkhand Minister Irfan Ansari requested the fans and their family not to panic after the Jharkhand T20 stampede.
“Necessary instructions have been issued to the Civil Surgeon and relevant officials. Ambulances have reached the spot in time, and all the injured are being provided with prompt medical assistance. Hospitals have also been alerted for the better treatment of the injured,” Ansari wrote on social media on Tuesday.

“I myself am continuously monitoring the situation, and the Health Department is fully engaged in relief and treatment efforts with utmost readiness,” it added.
What Happened In RCB’s Chinnaswamy Stampede?
RCB’s Chinnaswamy stampede was horrific, as 11 people were killed after a deadly crowd crush. In addition, more than 50 people were severely injured, turning a festive mood into a disaster.
For that, RCB decided not to celebrate the IPL triumph after back-to-back title wins, taking caution after the terrible events.
Who Won Jharkhand T20 League Final?
Chota Nagpur Royals won the Jharkhand T20 League final 2026, defeating Jamshedpur Steelers by seven wickets.
Batting first, Jamshedpur Steelers made 180/8, with Harsh Rana making 64 off just 24 balls to take them there. Chandan Mukhi and Deepanshu Rawat were the pick of the bowlers for Chota Nagpur Royals, conceding only 43 runs off their combined seven overs.
Rahul Rajak, on the other hand, conceded 62 runs off his four overs.
In reply, Kumar Kushagra, who recently played for India A in Sri Lanka, played a knock for ages. He made 78 off just 39 balls to get his side past the finishing line, that too with 16 balls and seven wickets to spare.
Himanshu Dwivedi gave the support Kushagra required. He notched up 51 off 33 balls, with four fours and three sixes, and that's how Chota Nagpur Royals lifted the Jharkhand T20 title.
