Robin Minz was part of Mumbai Indians in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). In fact, the 23-year-old played a couple of matches, of which he came to bat on both occasions.
To make many headlines, Robin Minz became the most expensive buy recently in the Jharkhand Premier League (JPL) auction. While Kishan, who was Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain in IPL 2026 until Pat Cummins’ arrival, received the contract of INR 14.70 lakh, Minz got a lucrative deal worth INR 15.25 lakh.
Robin Minz Fails To Deliver In Jharkhand Premier League 2026
Unfortunately for Minz, he is yet to live up to his lofty expectations in Jharkhand Premier League. Playing as a wicket-keeper, Minz began with a 14-ball 26 in JPL 2026, followed by a golden duck.
On Sunday, he could not score big either, as Koylanchal Super Kings (KSK) superstar made 21 off 15 balls before returning to the pavilion.
It was Match 7 of JPL 2026 when Koylanchal Super Kings were up against Ranchi Titans at JSCA International Cricket Stadium Complex, Ranchi. At the point of writing this, KSK were 142/3 after 16.4 overs before rain arrived and interrupted the game.

Given the fact that how much Koylanchal Super Kings invested in Minz, it was a very unfortunate outcome for Minz so far, although things can change rapidly as the Jharkhand Premier League 2026 progresses.
However, KSK is yet to be disturbed by the form of Robin Minz in JPL 2026. They are currently at the top of the points table, having won two in two in the competition thus far.
How Has Robin Minz Fared In IPL 2026?
As mentioned above, Minz could only have two opportunities in Mumbai Indians playing XI for IPL 2026. Apart from that, he was occasionally used as a substitute fielder whenever someone got injured or needed a break.
Minz got an opportunity to bat on both occasions in IPL 2026. He made a run-a-ball 1 against Ishan Kishan’s Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), and remained not out. In the other match, which was against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), he made a three-ball 5 before losing his wickets to Anshul Kamboj.
Ishan Kishan Currently With India Team
While Robin Minz still has time to improve himself, Ishan Kishan is having a dream phase in his senior career. He is currently with India’s senior men squad, who are in Dharamshala for the first ODI between the Men in Blue and Afghanistan.
Unfortunately for the fans, rain has delayed the toss for India vs Afghanistan 1st ODI, and it has only increased with time. The covers are still firmly in place, giving an indication that the match might be called off without a ball being bowled.
