Australia women recorded a remarkable 3-nil win over India in the recently concluded three-match ODI series. The results have sparked a rapid surge in ICC women’s rankings for multiple players.

In the recently updated ICC women’s rankings, several players have found the their way to the top of the charts across formats and categories. The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Tuesday, released the updated player rankings.

Smriti Mandhana leads the charts as the No.1 ODI batter in latest ICC women’s rankings

The face of Indian women’s cricket, Smriti Mandhana (790 rating), has climbed up to the top of the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings in the latest update.

The lefty opener made notable scores of 58 and 21 in the week, helping her pass the previous No.1, Laura Wolvaardt (782). Nonetheless, the South African captain will soon have the opportunity to regain her spot in the upcoming multi-format tour to New Zealand.

Mandhana also jumped a spot up in the T20 player rankings to the second.

Apart from her, the Indian captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, despite a disappointing series loss, moved back in the top 10 for batters in ODIs, thanks to her dual fifties and a 25-run innings.

Australia’s Alana King becomes the new top-ranked ODI bowler

On the other hand, Australian leggie Alana King earned the top bowling spot in the recent ODI rankings. King’s surge is a result of her outstanding performances in the three ODIs against the 2025 ODI World Cup champions, India.

King, with a 775 rating, ended Sophie Ecclestone's reign at the top of the rankings, which lasted for nearly four years.

Notably, in the past week, King scalped seven wickets at an average of 16.71, claiming 4/33 from 10 overs in the third ODI, helping the hosts to a 185-run victory. Thus, she led the charts with the most wickets between the two teams.

On top of that, Alana is joined by her countrymates in the ICC women’s rankings. As four other Australian bowlers, Ash Gardner (third), Annabel Sutherland (fifth), Megan Schutt (seventh) and Kim Garth (eighth), secure places in the top eight.

Other notable updates in the ICC Women's rankings

It is worth noting that several other performers saw their player ratings improve. The recently concluded multi-format series played between India women and Australia women, the Alyssa Healy-led side made a remarkable comeback in the fifty-over format after losing two out of three T20Is on home soil.

The ODI series saw Beth Mooney, Ash Gardner, and captain Alyssa Healy herself outsmarting the Indian squad.

Healy, in her final ODI on Sunday, smashed a 98-ball 158, which powered her to the fourth place in the ODI batting rankings with a 744 rating. Meanwhile, Mooney (749) and Gardner (724) secure the second and third spots.

Moreover, Ash Gardner also now holds the No.1 spot in the ODI all-rounder rankings with 516 points, which is almost 100 rating points ahead of the second-ranked West Indies player Hayley Matthews (418).

Lastly, New Zealand’s Amelie Kerr (668) made a seven-spot jump into eighth in the T20I batting rankings after a good run against Zimbabwe.
