Travis Head is back in brilliant form and leading SRH’s batting attack. Him getting back to his brutal best make him a big threat, and Punjab Kings’ shaky bowling attack will have to survive if they want a chance.

Punjab Kings are coming off two losses and need a win to get back on track. Shreyas Iyer’s team must bat out the opposition and stay strong against Head’s firepower, or SRH could take control early and crush their hopes of a comeback.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, with six wins from ten matches and 12 points, are ready to challenge. They are placed 3rd in the points table and a victory here could see them climb to the top.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have an explosive batting lineup anyways, from their top order to Heinrich Klaasen in the middle. Despite their collapse in the middle-order against KKR, the team remains strong, and their batting is expected to bounce back.

However, the real test for SRH will be their bowling. Punjab Kings have been the most destructive batting side this season, striking at 178.16 strike-rate and with a six every 8.48 deliveries, chasing down 220 with 7 balls in hand in their earlier meeting. 

Having said that, one positive for SRH is their bowling at home. With a 25.32 average, the third-best in the league, and the second-best economy rate of 8.86 at home, SRH have a slight edge coming into this game against Punjab Kings’ batting firepower.

Punjab Kings’ top-order has been the backbone of their batting, as their bowling has struggled to contain runs. However, in the last two games, they faced difficulties in the powerplay against strong new-ball attacks, contributing to their losses.

In their first seven games, Punjab Kings lost just five wickets in the powerplay. In the last two matches, they lost four early wickets, exposing vulnerabilities. This highlights the team’s dependence on their top-order to set or chase competitive totals.

Shreyas Iyer, phenomenal in the middle-order with three half-centuries in four away innings, failed in the last outing. With the bowling unit underperforming this season, a lot of responsibility rests on him to anchor the innings and stabilize the side.
