3. Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Dubai - 2 Times

At number three on the list of venues which hosted most IPL finals are Navi Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Dubai, each hosting the IPL final twice and earning a place among consistent hosts.

Navi Mumbai hosted the inaugural 2008 final and in 2010 at the DY Patil Stadium, while Kolkata’s Eden Gardens staged finals in 2013 and 2015. Bengaluru followed with 2014 and 2016 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium hosted two thrilling finals in 2017 and 2019, while Dubai International Cricket Stadium played a crucial role during COVID-19 pandemic, hosting back-to-back IPL finals in 2020 and 2021 away from India.

2. Chennai - 3 Times

At number two on the list of venues which hosted most IPL finals is Chennai, with the iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as Chepauk, hosting the IPL final three times in the IPL history.

Chennai first hosted the IPL final back in 2011 when CSK lifted their second IPL title defeating the RCB. It hosted the final again in 2012, where KKR won their maiden IPL trophy in a memorable clash.

After a long 12-year gap, the final returned to Chennai in IPL 2024, where KKR clinched their third title under Shreyas Iyer, making Chennai the first city to host three IPL finals and briefly top venues which hosted most IPL finals back then.

1. Ahmedabad - 4 Times

At the top of the list of venues which hosted most IPL finals sits Ahmedabad, with Narendra Modi Stadium set to host the IPL 2026 final, becoming the first venue to stage the summit clash four times.

Ahmedabad first hosted an IPL final back in 2022 when Gujarat Titans lifted their maiden title in their debut season. In 2023, CSK clinched their fifth title in a thrilling last-over finish against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad's second IPL final.

The venue witnessed history again in 2025 as RCB and the legendary Virat Kohli, ended an 18-year wait by winning their maiden IPL title, further cementing Ahmedabad’s place among venues which hosted most IPL finals.
