Punjab Kings (PBKS) were once at the pinnacle of the IPL 2026 Points Table, with no losses in their first seven matches. However, the Shreyas Iyer-led unit had a debacle in the second half, losing six games on the trot. Despite winning their final game, they were edged out of the playoffs race by the Rajasthan Royals.

In IPL 2026, the batting played its part, but it was their bowling and fielding that let the PBKS down.

In this article, we will evaluate each PBKS player who played more than two games this season and rate them accordingly.

Punjab Kings Player Ratings for IPL 2026:

Prabhsimran Singh - 7/10

PBKS' batting, especially their two openers, was the reason for their initial success. On the back of the starts that Prabhsimran Singh gave them, the Kings were able to bat out the opposition. However, in the latter half, his match-winning contributions also dried up.

Prabhsimran scored over 510 runs in IPL 2026 at incredible rates, but his performances were not more than 7 out 10.

Cooper Connolly - 8/10

Shreyas Iyer - 7/10

Captain Shreyas Iyer was unstoppable at the start of the season, and he ended it with his maiden IPL century. Although his captaincy was questionable at times as Punjab lost six games on the bounce, Shreyas the batter was simply outstanding. Just because of a lack of game awareness at times, the skipper gets 8/10

Marcus Stoinis - 5/10

Marcus Stoinis was one of the most experienced players in the Punjab ranks. However, the Aussie all-rounder had a poor season compared to his previous seasons. He scored over 300 runs in the middle overs, but failed to take them over the line multiple times. Thus, he would get 5 on 10

Suryansh Shedge - 7.5/10

Suryansh Shedge made his IPL debut last season, but he didn't get enough chances then. With batters failing consistently in the first half, the young Mumbaikar was included in the lineup later in the tournament. While batting in the lower middle order, he did well despite the big names failing around him. Thus, he would get 7.5/10

Shashank Singh - 4/10

Shashank Singh is one of those players who never let their body language down. Prior to this season, he had become a crucial member of the PBKS line-up. But Shashank failed to deliver this season. Apart from a fifty, he contributed nothing as a batter. Moreover, he did contribute with his handy pace bowling in a game. Also, his fielding was substandard, to say the least. In brief, he was an utter disappointment. 4/10 is what he will get.

Yuzvendra Chahal - 7/10

Although stats don't tell the whole story about Yuzvendra Chahal's IPL 2026. He bowled much better than his 12 wickets in 14 matches. If not for those many dropped chances, he would have ended with another 20-plus-wicket season, and things might have been different for PBKS. Just for his efforts, Chahal would get 7/10

Arshdeep Singh - 6/10

Arshdeep Singh was one of the disappointments. Regarded as the best Indian fast bowler after Jasprit Bumrah, the left-arm seamer had a sub-average campaign, taking 14 scalps in 14 matches. His economy of 10.21 was surely point of concern. Thus, he gets six on 10
