Aman Mokhade Joins Pollock, Leaves Behind Padikkal & Mukund
On his 16th innings in List A cricket, Aman Mokhade crossed the 1000-run mark. With that, he became the fastest Indian to get there, and joint fastest across the world to achieve the feat, along with South Africa’s Graeme Pollock.
From India, he got past Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Mukund, who both took 17 innings to get to 1000-run mark in List A cricket. It came during the semi-final between Vidarbha and Karnataka, the match in which he smashed a spectacular 138 in front of Karun Nair, Devdutt Padikkal and Mayank Agarwal, among others.

When Did Mokhade Make His Debut?
Mokhade made his domestic debut for Vidarbha in 2022, and it all started with a T20 match against Assam in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In the same year, he made his debut in First Class cricket as well, against Uttar Pradesh in Nagpur.
However, Mokhade’s List A debut happened a year later, against Meghalaya in Jaipur.
Mokhade batted exceptionally well in Ranji Trophy 2025-26, probably which helped him get India A call-up. He tallied 760 runs at an average of 76 after 11 innings, which included a stunning second-innings century against Odisha.
Now only time will tell where Mokhade will reach from here on. But before everything else, all he would need to get a significant start to his India A career to stay in BCCI selectors’ attention.
