Nat Sciver-Brunt led the England Women’s cricket team from the front in the final of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup against arch-rivals Australia. The senior all-rounder punched out a fighting 58* off 53 balls to lift her side from a precarious 32-2 to a competitive 150-4 at Lord’s in London on Sunday, July 5.
The innings marked her second successive half-century of the tournament, and the 20th of her illustrious T20I career for England. In the process, the 33-year-old also scaled a huge world record, leading even the likes of Beth Mooney, Alyssa Healy and Smriti Mandhana in an illustrious list.
Nat Sciver-Brunt on top of a rare T20 World Cup chart
Nat Sciver-Brunt listed her second successive half-century of the ongoing 2026 T20 World Cup by composing a fighting 58* against Australia Women in the final. The innings also marked her ninth score of 50 or more in all T20 World Cup matches.

The legendary English all-rounder has now surpassed Australian wicketkeeper-batter Beth Mooney and New Zealand icon Suzie Bates to record the highest number of fifty-plus scores in T20 World Cup matches. Both Mooney and Bates have registered eight fifty-plus scores at the big ICC T20 event so far in their respective careers.
Former Australian captain Alyssa Healy and prolific Indian opener Smriti Mandhana also feature in the list. Here is a look at five of the world’s leading batters, in terms of number of fifty-plus scores in Women’s T20 World Cup matches.

Nat Sciver-Brunt also registered the highest individual score ever recorded by any England batter in a Women’s T20 World Cup final. The prolific middle-order batter scored 58* runs off 53 balls with five cracking boundaries.
She surpassed the previous record set by Danni Wyatt-Hodge in the 2018 final against Australia in North Sound. However, in the 2026 final itself, Danni’s record was once again broken by Freya Kemp, who blasted 44* runs off just 28 balls with four fours and a six.
Nat Sciver’s innings is also the first half-century recorded by any England Women batter in a T20 World Cup final match.
England chart 150 after being put into bat first
Getting invited to bat first, England Women lost both openers Amy Jones and Danni Wyatt-Hodge to Lucy Hamilton and Annabel Sutherland inside the powerplay overs.
Captain Nat Sciver-Brunt fought back for her side, top-scoring in the innings with an elegant 58*, while Freya Kemp smeared four fours and a six to slap 44* off just 28 balls. Alice Capsey also made 23 in the middle as England charted 150-4 from 20 overs.
