On Sunday, July 5, Australia and England, two arch-nemeses, locked horns against each other for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 final. Both teams entered the final without a defeat, and one of them is certain to suffer heartbreak.
At the toss, Australia won the toss and opted to field first, asking England to bat first at the Lord’s Cricket Ground. Notably, it was England’s 6th time in this edition where the luck didn’t favour them during the coin flip.

Notably, England's only toss win came against Ireland, which was their 2nd match of T20 World Cup 2026. Since then, Nat Sciver-Brunt has been on the losing end. However, it didn't matter much because the Three Lionesses won the match, which was much more important.

For the unversed, In eight One-Day Internationals (ODI), five Test matches and two T20 Internationals (T20I) played between 31 January and 31 July 2025, India contrived to lose 15 coin-tosses in succession.
