Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings are set to begin their campaign in the upcoming IPL 2026 season with renewed hopes and a fresh squad. The fixtures for the first phase of the tournament were already announced, scheduled from March 28 to April 12. During which CSK will play four matches, two at home and two away.

CSK will open their campaign on March 30 with an away fixture against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati. They will then return to their home ground in Chennai to face the IPL 2025 finalists, the Punjab Kings, at Chepauk.

The team will next travel to take on their long-time rivals and defending champions, RCB. In the last game of the first phase, they will face the Delhi Capitals.

CSK's recent performances in IPL have not matched their standards. After lifting their fifth IPL trophy in 2023, the team has struggled in the past two seasons, failing to qualify for the playoffs and finishing at the bottom of the table in 2025.
