With IPL 2026 just around the corner and the anticipation reaching the skyline, franchises have unveiled their fresh and renewed jerseys. The 10 teams’ visual identities reflect their unique, innovative designs and aspirations.
While Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will enter the field to defend their title, other teams like Rajasthan Royals are set to embrace a fresh new era under a new captain. As most of the teams kick off IPL 2026 in brand new looks, let’s rate the 10 teams’ jerseys as fans anticipate the season’s commencement on March 28.
IPL 2026 Jerseys: Rating new identities of all 10 teams
#10 Delhi Capitals (DC)
The JSW and GMR co-owned Delhi Capitals on March 19, 2026, unveiled their official jersey for the new season. The design draws inspiration from the fierce tiger spirit that defines both the team and the city it represents.

However, fans were disappointed by the delay in unveiling the jersey after the hype built around it. On top of that, the team didn’t find the new look as enticing as expected.
#9 Punjab Kings (PBKS)
The Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS IPL 2026 jersey features a bold, updated design that retains the traditional deep red and blue colours. The new look features a "Lion to Diamond" motif symbolising aggression and refined talent. The kit includes blue accents on the shoulders and sides, with Nippon Paint as a partner.
Nonetheless, with the team introducing blue and red colours and ditching the white-and-red combination, the PBKS fans expressed disappointment with the jersey, saying they had lost the original identity.
#8 Rajasthan Royals (RR)
The 2007 winning team, Rajasthan Royals, unveiled their new jersey for the IPL 2026 season in Jaipur. The Royals’ newly-appointed captain, Riyan Parag, was present at the launch event for the RR jersey along with teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and local boy Ravi Bishnoi.
Blending navy blue and pink, the new RR jersey features a darker upper half, which seamlessly transitions into a vibrant pink lower section.
Notably, the internet users found the RR IPL 2026 jersey very similar to that of RCB’s.
#7 Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
On March 7, 2026, Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and batter Ayush Mhatre joined MD and CEO, Shenu Agarwal, and Chairman, Dheeraj Hinduja, at the unveiling of the team’s new jersey, marking Ashok Leyland as the official sponsor of Chennai Super Kings.

The updated kit maintains CSK's iconic identity while introducing subtle design changes. The camouflage pattern, previously limited to the sleeves, has been reimagined as bold stripes across the front, giving the jersey a refreshed, distinctive look.
But some fans preferred the previous design.
#6 Lucknow Super Giants (LSG)
The Lucknow-based franchise was one of the first teams to unveil its new official jersey and refreshed colours, marking a strong step forward in a journey built on belief and ambition. The new design draws from the cultural fabric of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh, where colour, craft and ritual shape everyday life.
LSG has also unveiled a new logo, hoping for a fresh fortune. However, fans found an uncanny similarity with Manchester Super Giants (formerly Manchester Originals).
#5 SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Kavya Maran-owned, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), unveiled their new jersey for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Taking to their X, SRH, the 2024 IPL runners-up revealed a vibrant orange coloured jersey. Nitish Kumar Reddy, the franchise’s young all-rounder, featured wearing the new jersey. “FIRE NEVER LOOKED THIS FIERY Our official jersey for 2026 is here, Orange Army," posted SRH on their X.

#4 Gujarat Titans (GT)
The Gujarat Titans 2026 IPL jersey retains their signature dark navy-blue base, complemented by subtle geometric patterns and gold accents on the shoulders and sleeves. The official kit features a star above the crest representing their IPL title, with match-edition jerseys now featuring the new sponsors in the front.
#3 Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)
On March 15 2026, defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) officially unveiled their new match-day jersey ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
The new kit, released in collaboration with PUMA, features a single gold star above the team crest. The star symbolises RCB's historic first IPL title win in 2025, when they finally ended their long wait for the trophy. Fans find the jersey one of the best in the tournament.
#2 Mumbai Indians (MI)
The Mumbai Indians 2026 IPL jersey features a design inspired by the letter "M," symbolizing mindset, momentum, and unity in a repeating pattern. The kit maintains the iconic deep blue and gold colors, representing the city’s energy, legacy, and success, produced by Skechers with breathable fabric.
The jersey has gained the most appreciation on the internet.
#1 Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
At the top of the list, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have unveiled their new jersey for the 2026 IPL season, dubbed the "Lines of Legacy." Designed by SIX5SIX, the jersey features a purple-and-gold design with abstract linear art symbolising key moments in the team's history, and incorporates shiny gold panels.
The captivating purple and gold colours of the new KKR jersey has received appreciation for its blend of tradition and sleek, modern design elements.
