On Wednesday, March 11, Pakistan locked horns against Bangladesh in the first off three-match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur. It was not the start that Pakistan expected as the Shaheen Afridi-led side were humbled and humiliated.

Notably, Pakistan, who had four debutants in the 1st ODI, were asked to bat first. The Men in Green got off to the worst possible start and tumbled for just 114 runs. Nahid Rana was the star with the ball and picked up a fifer to leave Shaheen-led side stunned and absolutely clueless.

In reply, Bangladesh brushed off claims of any demons on the pitch and comfortably chased the target in 16 overs. Tanzid Hasan was the star with the bat and played an unbeaten 67 (42) run innings, scoring seven fours and five sixes.

Records were shattered left, right, centre and this article will shed light on all the milestones from Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st ODI.

Shaheen Afridi Reflects On Pakistan's Humiliating Loss

“I think we started well, but then, Nahid came in and rattled us. I think we bowled really well. The start we wanted, we did not achieve in the first game. This is a young team, and I will back this team till the end," Shaheen remarked in post-match conversation.

When you lose a match, there are a lot of points you can mention. In one-day cricket, you need partnerships, both in batting and bowling. There are still two games left, and we will focus on the next one," he added.
