LSG IPL Schedule 2026
The LSG franchise will host Delhi Capitals in their first match of the IPL 2026 season on April 1 at Lucknow’s Ekana International Stadium. The team will travel to Hyderabad and Kolkata over the next one week to play away matches against the SRH and KKR on April 5 and April 9 respectively.
The franchise will then fly back to Lucknow and take on Gujarat Titans in match number 19 of the tournament on April 12.
The BCCI will unveil the remainder of LSG’s schedule in the coming days after receiving further clearance about poll and election dates from the Indian government.
The LSG franchise acquired six cricketers on the day of the IPL 2026 auction in December last year. Among those six players, the franchise shelled out the most on Australian wicketkeeper-batter and ex-Punjab Kings star Josh Inglis. The attacking middle-order batter was roped in for a staggering sum of Rs. 8.60 crores, thus making him one of the costliest overseas buys at the bidding event for the upcoming edition.
Sri Lanka spin wizard Wanindu Hasaranga and South African speed demon Anrich Nortje were the other two overseas players recruited by LSG’s top brass. The franchise also acquired three young Indian talents, namely Rajasthan wicketkeeper-batter Mukul Choudhary, India’s former U19 fast bowler Naman Tiwari and Madhya Pradesh batter Akshat Raghuwanshi.
Prior to the auction, the franchise retained as many as 19 players, including Australian T20I captain Mitchell Marsh, former West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran and South African white-ball skipper Aiden Markram. South Africa’s Matthew Breetzke was also retained as the franchise will head into the IPL 2026 season with seven overseas players in its 25-member ensemble.
Apart from retaining the likes of Rishabh Pant, Abdul Samad, Ayush Badoni and fast bowlers Mayank Yadav, Avesh Khan; the franchise traded in legendary Indian speedster Mohammed Shami from the SRH for a sum of Rs. 10 crores. Joining Shami will be Goa paceman Arjun Tendulkar, who previously played a handful of IPL games for the Mumbai Indians.
