Pakistan were humbled by Bangladesh in the first ODI of the three-match series in Mirpur. And Salman Ali Agha, Pakistan’s T20I captain and one of their most reliable batters in ODIs, could not help the Men in Green to avoid humiliation.

Salman Ali Agha’s wicket, in particular, was the most breathtaking one among everyone. And Tanzid Hasan was the man behind it, as his catch at the short square-leg caught everyone’s attention.

Tanzid Hasan Grabs A Superb Catch To Stun Salman Agha

The catch came during the 18th over of Pakistan’s innings when Nahid Rana came to bowl against Salman Agha. Nahid Rana bowled a short of a length delivery, and Salman Ali Agha tried to play past the square leg.

However, Tanzid Hasan showed incredible reflexes to hold onto the catch, as he got hit on the helmet before eventually catching the ball after a little juggle.

Salman Ali Agha could not believe what had just happened, as he asked the umpire whether the catch was taken with the help of Tanzid’s helmet. However, it was all fine under the rules and regulations, making the catch a clean one to send Salman Agha back into the pavilion.

It was Nahid Rana’s fifth wicket of the day, and all of his victims were specialist batters from Pakistan – Sahibzada Farhan, Maaz Sadaqat, Shamyl Hussain and Mohammad Rizwan – before Salman Ali Agha's wicket. In fact, all five first Pakistan wickets were taken by Nahid Rana, before Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed cleaned up the tails.

PAK Vs BAN 1st ODI: Tanzid Hasan Wants To Wrap Up Quickly

Pakistan were bundled out for 114 in 30.4 overs, with Rana taking five wickets, while captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up three wickets. Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman had a wicket each, as Pakistan had a terrible outing with the bat after Mehidy Hasan Miraz asked them to have a go.

For Pakistan, only Faheem Ashraf could make a respectable score, making 37 off 47 balls to revive Pakistan from 82/9. Nevertheless, it was not enough for Pakistan to stage a fight, and Bangladesh's openers showed no mercy after coming to the chase.

Pakistan vs Bangladesh ODIs Details

There will be three ODIs between Pakistan and Bangladesh, all at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The dates of these three ODIs are March 11, March 13, and March 15.

However, there are no other outings as T20Is and Tests in the ongoing Pakistan tour of Bangladesh. Once the tour is over, the Pakistan players will be there playing for their respective franchises in PSL 2026.

PSL 2026 will have eight franchises this year, with two new teams being added to kick off the 11th edition of the tournament. The tournament will begin on March 26 and will end on May 3. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium is set to host the PSL opener, as well as the final of the competition.
