The Rajasthan Royals franchise has unveiled its new jersey for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. On Wednesday, March 18, just over a week ahead of the tournament’s 19th edition, the franchise revealed its brand-new look on social media.
Notably, the new jersey bore striking similarities to Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s design. Several RCB fans were quick to notice the resemblance and responded with hilarious memes at the expense of the Rajasthan Royals.

With the kit bearing striking similarities to that of RCB’s, a legion of fans took to social media and took a dig at the franchise, flooding timelines with mocking reactions and hilarious memes.
Several fans even jokingly claimed that the RCB franchise might soon send a “copyright strike” to the Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals joins KKR, RCB and Mumbai Indians to reveal IPL 2026 jerseys
Notably, the Rajasthan Royals have now joined several other competing franchises to have unveiled their jersey designs for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Earlier this month, the Mumbai Indians franchise also launched its new jersey with a special video on social media.
In a short video featuring captain Hardik Pandya and fellow senior pros like Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, the Mumbai Indians came up a jersey which resembled its own iconic kit from IPL 2020.
Defending champions RCB and three-time winners KKR also revealed their kits in the lead-up to the IPL 2026 season. KKR’s unveiling, however, invited much criticism from the RCB supporters as their jersey-reveal video featured several indirect digs at the 2025 IPL winners.
Rajasthan Royals gear up for IPL 2026
The Rajasthan Royals players are currently gearing up for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Notably, the franchise traded in legendary Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja from the CSK in exchange of outbound captain Sanju Samson.
The franchise also made several new purchases on the day of the IPL 2026 auction last December in the form of Ravi Bishnoi and New Zealand paceman Adam Milne, and uncapped India players like Sushant Mishra, Yashraj Punja, Ravi Singh, Aman Rao, Brijesh Sharma and Vignesh Puthur.
Retaining several of their core players, cricketers like Yashasvi Jaiswal, new captain Riyan Parag, West Indies middle-order star Shimron Hetmyer and teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi among others are all set to reprise their roles for the Royals.
