What happened in IML 2025 season?

The India Masters team won the IML 2025 season last year by defeating West Indies Masters in a one-sided final in Raipur. Bowling first, a three-wicket haul from Vinay Kumar restricted Brian Lara and co. to just 148-7 in 20 overs. In response, Ambati Rayudu fired a sizzling 50-ball 74*, and captain Tendulkar composed a quick 25 at the top as the hosts secured a comprehensive six-wicket win in 17.1 overs.

Under the leadership of Sachin Tendulkar, the India Masters team had finished second on the points table before defeating a Shane Watson-led Australian side in the first semifinal. Table-toppers Sri Lanka Masters lost to West Indies in the second semifinal, while teams like South Africa Masters and England Masters failed to make it to the top four.

England Masters, under the leadership of 2019 World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan, finished at the bottom of the points table by sustaining five crushing defeats in each of their five league games.
