BGMI Collab with CSK and KKR (AFP & X.com@letsgrowesports)
In a significant development, KRAFTON India, the gaming giant, announced a collaboration between Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Chennai Super Kings CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The BGMI x CSK x KKR collaboration comes only a few days before the start of the highly-awaited IPL 2026, which will get underway on March 28.
Thus, launching the IPL franchise integration right before the IPL season is designed to position BGMI (formerly known as PUBG) as a parallel fan engagement platform for India’s mobile-first generation, one which likes to expand the cricket fandom beyond the stadium inside the battleground itself.
BGMI collaboration with CSK and KKR takes cricket fanatics to a new dimension
With cricket deeply embedded in the country’s cultural fabric and e-gaming continuing to grow as a mainstream digital pastime, the partnership creates a new way for fans to enjoy the game.

It is worth noting that the collaborations are brought to life through two original brand films and a full suite of franchise-themed in-game content arriving with the BGMI 4.3 update.
KRAFTON India emphasises the ultimate fan bases of the IPL franchises
Talking about the partnership, Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development and Partnerships, KRAFTON India, said: “Chennai Super Kings has one of the most devoted fan bases in world cricket, and BGMI has one of the most engaged gaming communities in India. Bringing them together had to feel meaningful for both – not just as a visual crossover, but as a genuine expression of that shared passion."
KS Viswanathan, Managing Director, Chennai Super Kings, added: “Chennai Super Kings has always shared an extraordinary connection with its fans. Bringing that connection into BGMI allows supporters to celebrate their team in a completely new format where the excitement of cricket meets the thrill of competitive gameplay.”
Meanwhile, the KKR film, “Ami Conqueror, Ami KKR”, captures four friends navigating everyday chaos, from crowded queues to noisy buses and football fields, before gathering for a league match that “needs a bit of magic.” As the tension builds, the group trades familiar KKR chants such as “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo” and “KKR hai tayyar.”
Their self-appointed hero then declares that this time no one will steal their “winner’s dinner,” pulls out his phone, and the room lights up in a dramatic purple glow as BGMI x KKR items appear on screen, culminating in the collective chant, “Ami Conqueror… AMI KKR!”
What can fans expect from the partnership?
The CSK and KKR collaborations are built on the crazy fanbases' love for their idols. Which is why the game is already home to fans of every franchise, from every city. The 4.3 update simply gives them something they have never had before - their team, inside their battleground.
This also follows KRAFTON India’s recent collaboration with Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal for its published title Real Cricket, further strengthening the company’s efforts to connect gaming with India’s cricket culture.
