Karachi Kings Playing XI vs Hyderabad Kingsmen, Match 20
Openers and Top Order: Muhammad Waseem, David Warner, Salman Agha
UAE opener Muhammad Waseem will likely continue to open the innings for Karachi Kings alongside captain David Warner, despite registering two ducks in four matches this PSL 2026 season. Waseem’s reputation and elite T20 experience put him on a pedestal despite his recent setbacks.
Captain Warner will also reprise his role as the legendary left-hander recently made his PSL return despite dealing with a major off-field controversy back home. Star all-rounder Salman Agha will bat at number three, and the cricketer can also lend his arm to bowl a few overs of spin.
Middle Order and All Rounders: Saad Baig, Azam Khan, Khushdil Shah, Moeen Ali
Saad Baig scored crucial match-winning runs against Quetta Gladiators late last month. His anchoring abilities can lift Karachi Kings in the middle overs in case of an early collapse. Blistering wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan, however, can go berserk at will and the cricketer recently blasted 74 off just 34 balls against the RawalPindiZ.
Spin-bowling all-rounder Khushdil Shah holds an astonishing PSL strike rate of 141.46, and an overall T20 experience of 232 caps. His hard-hitting abilities makes him an ideal candidate to bat in the middle order for the Karachi Kings.
England international and legendary all-rounder Moeen Ali will be expected to follow Khushdil in the Kings batting order owing to his slog-overs expertise. Apart from scoring 80 runs this PSL 2026 season at an astonishing strike rate of nearly 127, Moeen has also bagged a couple of match-winning wickets with the ball.
Bowlers: Shahid Aziz, Hasan Ali, Adam Zampa, Mir Hamza
The Karachi Kings management will likely drop struggling fast bowler Abbas Afridi, and bring back Shahid Aziz into the playing XI. The speedster also holds a T20 batting strike rate of 142.32 and can score quick runs in the slog overs.
Hasan Ali will also be expected to make his return to the playing XI, as the senior Pakistan paceman is currently the leading wicket-taker of the PSL 2026 season with eight scalps from just three innings at an average of 9.50.
Australian spin wizard Adam Zampa will bat at number 10, as he will helm his team’s spin attack once again this season. Mir Hamza will likely retain his place in the XI despite his expensive outings off late, as the speedster also delivered a match-winning spell against Lahore Qalandars late last month.
