On Saturday, April 11, the Punjab Kings will lock horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the afternoon game of IPL 2026. The two teams will square off at the new PCA stadium in Punjab.

Punjab Kings are so far undefeated in the tournament with two wins and a washed-out game against KKR. The Shreyas Iyer-led side are placed second in the group with 5 points in three matches. On the other hand, SRH have got off to a poor start to the season with just a solitary win in three matches.

PBKS vs SRH Preview

Punjab Kings have a sorted team and covered all bases. Cooper Connolly has been a great addition at No.3, but the bowling seems to be the only worrying point. Arshdeep Singh is yet to pick up a wicket in IPL 2026. Nonetheless, PBKS, so far, have not felt the need for Lockie Ferguson, who will join the team in the second half of the tournament.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, will make a few changes to their playing XI and continue to miss Pat Cummins, who is nursing his injury and has actually flown to Australia for final scans. Similarly, PBKS might make a few changes, and this article will shed light on Punjab Kings’ strongest playing XI vs SRH.

PBKS Likely Playing XI vs SRH- Match 17

Openers and Top Order (Prabhsimran Singh, Priyansh Arya, Cooper Connolly)

PBKS top-order needs no changes at the top. Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have been in fine touch and scoring runs. The right-handed batter has 80 runs in two matches, while Arya has 46 runs, which includes a brilliant innings of 39 (11) aginst CSK.

Cooper Connolly has been the find of the tournament with 108 runs in two innings, which includes consecutive 30+ scores. So far, Connolly has been barred by CA from bowling in the IPL. However, he is likely to bowl against SRH, giving PBKS a boost ahead of the upcoming match.

Middle Order and All Rounders (Shreyas Iyer, Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis)

Shreyas Iyer will bat at No.4. Skipper scored a brilliant fifty against CSK and returned to his best amid injury concerns. The middle-order remains untested so far in the tournament. Nehal Wadhera is out of runs and the upcoming game might be his last as he needs to perform before PBKS look for other options.

Shashank Singh and Marcus Stoinis are yet to bat for a good amount of overs to be judged. Therefore, PBKS might not make any changes to their middle-order.

Bowlers (Marco Jansen, Xavier Bartlett, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh)

Expect Arshdeep Singh, rest of PBKS bowlers have been on song. Marco Jansen is argubally the best all-rounder in IPL 2026 and Bartlett is also among wickets. In the washed-out game between PBKS and KKR, Bartlett took two wickets and was swinging the ball brilliantly.

Yuzvendra Chahal has taken 3 wickets in two matches. Further, Vijaykumar Vyshak will come as an impact sub as he has 5 wickets in two innings.
