The IPL 2026 match between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been delayed due to rain at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. The fans are frustrated as they turned up in thousands to see Virat Kohli and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
It has been a frustrating IPL stint in Guwahati as most of the games here have been rain-affected. Notably, the first match hosted at this venue in IPL 2026 was between RR and CSK. There was rain before the match, but it went smoothly once the game started.
Guwahati Weather Disrupts IPL 2026 Matches
Following the CSK match, RR hosted the Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, April 7. For that game as well, there were heavy showers, and the match was reduced to 11-overs per side. The fans were frustrated and criticised RR for hosting games in a rain-affected area rather than at their home ground in Jaipur.
