Rishabh Pant has given Yuvraj Singh a special gift for offering him key batting inputs. It is worth noting that the senior Indian wicketkeeper-batter sought the former all-rounder for assistance prior to the IPL 2026 season a couple of months ago.

Expressing his admiration for Yuvraj, the LSG skipper gifted him a golf club, paired with a special note.

Yuvraj Singh, in turn, took this opportunity to troll his other pupils and fellow Team India batters like Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.

On Tuesday, May 5; Yuvraj Singh showed off the extravagant gift set he received from LSG captain Rishabh Pant. Taking to his Instagram account, the former Indian all-rounder shared a short video, where he displayed the luxurious golf club collection alongside the heartfelt note penned by Pant.

The note reads “Dear Yuvi paaji, thank you for your support and guidance. See you on the golf course. Love RP”.

Notably, the club was also inscribed with the initials ‘YS’, seemingly as a personalised tribute to the former India all-rounder.

Yuvraj Singh, clearly moved by Rishabh Pant’s gesture, thanked the Indian wicketkeeper-batter. India’s multi-World Cup winner also took this opportunity to troll several of his other apprentices like Indian Test captain Shubman Gill and SRH opener Abhishek Sharma.

The ex-cricketer also tagged Punjab Kings openers Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya, Naman Dhir, Nehal Wadhera and Abdul Samad with a hilarious caption. Urging them to “learn” a thing or two from Rishabh Pant, Yuvraj wrote “Sharam Karo” to his pupils.

Rishabh Pant continues to struggle in IPL 2026

Aiming to put his IPL 2025 and past T20 demons behind, Pant reached out to Yuvraj Singh prior to the IPL 2026 season. However, despite seeking guidance from the legendary southpaw ahead of the season, Pant has continued to endure a lean run with the bat in IPL 2026.

In nine innings of the tournament, the attacking left-hander has aggregated just 204 runs at a below par average of 25.50, scoring 68 of those runs in a single game against the SRH.

Moreover, even as leader Pant has failed to inspire any confidence as the LSG franchise is currently placed at the bottom of the IPL 2026 points table.

Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma make the most of their prolific run

Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, meanwhile, seem to be making the most of their prolific IPL form with another productive season for their respective franchises. While Gill has aggregated 378 runs in nine innings of the tournament at a splendid average of 42, Sharma has charted 440 runs in 10 innings at an average of 48.88 and with an explosive strike rate of 206.57.

Both Gujarat Titans and SRH franchises are also ranked among the top five sides of the IPL 2026 season at the moment.
