Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made his much-awaited international debut a couple of days ago for Team India in Manchester against England. The 15-year-old, however, failed to make the most of the occasion as he registered just 14 runs off 10 balls with two huge sixes during his 50-run partnership with Abhishek Sharma.
Ahead of India’s third T20I of the five-match series, Sooryavanshi nearly suffered a nasty injury during a training session in Nottingham, as per recent reports. Fortunately, the youngster returned to the nets after a brief medical check-up and now looks all set to reprise his role for Team India at the top of the order.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s debut doused by Will Jacks in England win
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made his international debut just a couple of days ago against England at Old Trafford in Manchester. Despite starting off his innings with an audacious six against express paceman Jofra Archer, the blistering top-order batter got out stumped by part-timer Will Jacks.
Overall, Sooryavanshi shared a 50-run opening partnership with Abhishek Sharma in less than five overs. Ishan Kishan at number four top-scored in the innings with a regal 40-ball 49, while captain Shreyas Iyer made 37 off 22 balls.
Abhishek himself blazed his way to a scorching 24-ball 43, and a slog-overs cameo of 11-ball 24* by Tilak Varma pushed the Indian total to 190-7.
For England, senior all-rounder Sam Curran picked up three wickets in the innings at an expense of just 33 runs, which included the prized scalps of Shivam Dube, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma.
In response, Arshdeep Singh pinned England down at 1-2 inside the opening over, before a 39-run blitzkrieg from captain Harry Brook and a courageous 39-ball 76* from Jacob Bethell blazed the hosts past India’s 190 with an over and four wickets to spare.
Arshdeep and ace spinner Ravi Bishnoi took a heavy beating during the England chase, with both bowlers conceding one over each of over 25 runs.
